How to post a picture
How to post a picture?
Just right click the picture you want to put up here (this is the same for pictures from quiz', do not use the code they give you, it will NOT work here!). Then COPY the url and then put it between these codes: [*img]the url of your picture here[*/img] (please delete the * when you use this code)
Hosting of images / signatures / ...
I thought to make a list of good host sites, where you can easily upload your own avatars, signatures, ect. You just have to register at these sites.

Avatars and sigs
How to get an avatar under your username?
An avatar is a picture which comes right under your username. You can get an avatar like this: go to profile then scroll down until you see 'avatar'... You can choose an avatar from here. (You can choose one, just use the drop down menu to your right. And click the one you want!) Or you can put one in of yourself... All you need to do is the following: get the url of the avatar and then put in the lil box. The avatar can't be bigger then 100 x 100 pixels. Otherwise it will get distorted!
Or you can get nice avatars at our avatar site:
How to place sigs?
Go to your profile and scroll down till you see 'Signature', type in the stuff you want. If you want a picture there, then just use the code I gave above. [See 'How to post a picture']. You also can center the picture and text by using this code: [*center]pic and text here[*/center] - [Each time without the *!!]

Karma
What is it?
Karma is a feature and it's meant to be used when people agreed with the post you made or disagreed. Karma can be added (agree = exalt) or taken (disagree = smite). You can add (exalt) someone's karma every hour. So, when you exalt someone's karma, you need to wait an hour to exalt again.
How do you do it?
Look under the profile: Exalt means you add to someone's karma Smite means you take someone's karma
When you smite/exalt someone, your browser will automatically open a new window to the private message page of the person you smited/exalted so you may message them telling the person why you smited/exalted them. But it's your own choice, if you do not want to send this person a message, then just close the window. It's an option!
Newbies and people without karma will have 'No Karma Yet' written under their name. Once you've received karma you'll get a 'ying-yang' sign. Every 20 karma points, you'll get an extra 'ying-yang' icon. You only can view the karma points when you go in someone's profile.
karma = fun! Us, admins have agreed to try this feature. If people start abusing this feature in a negative way (to hurt people), then we will disable it. Giving karma points must be at all times something FUN. This isn't about who's the most popular person on the board. But I know we won't have any problems with it, as we all are grown-ups and cool people here.

Doll of the Month
Rules
It's pretty simple. The current 'Bee Of The Month' will choose at the end of the month the next 'Bee Of The Month'. I will PM this person (at the end of the month) and ask him/her to give up the name of the next 'Bee Of The Month'. There are two rules concerning this:
1) It must be someone who hasn't been 'Bee Of The Month' for the past year. 2) You must give up a reason why you pick this person. Why you think this person has deserved this title; why this person according to you has been contributing (in any way) to our community.
The new 'Bee Of The Month' will be announced in an announcements thread.
What do you get?
- When you are 'Bee Of The Month', you'll get a custom title under your name, like this --> Bee Of The Month You get to hold our 'Afterglow Trophy' for a whole month! Whoah!
- You also will be listed at the bottom of the main page. So you get to stand in the spotlight!
Please do not take this too seriously, like I said before. This is just to have FUN! The reason behind your choice doesn't have to be serious neither. Reasons could be: 'cos you made me laugh so hard in sucha sucha thread / 'cos you shared sucha sucha download / 'cos you simply rock and I love you / 'cos you comfort me when I needed it / 'cos you made me smile when I felt down / ect ect... you get the point.
HAFFFFF FUUUUUN!
