I'm sitting here pondering over whether or not my skin should be so red raw after a waxing session, and thought of a new thread. Have any of you chichas (and chicos, maybe!) have any beauty disasters? Hair fuck ups are always funny. I was henna'd my hair but got scared when I saw my hair turning orange, so washed it out...and my hair was neon orange. It was not a good look for me!

When I was a teenager I used Manic Panic hair dye, I think it was pink ( I was in a punk phase). My hair was too dark to take much of the color, it only gave me highlights, however, it stained my skin when I washed it out in the shower, and I had pink ALL OVER my body! It took days to come off, and I actually missed a couple of days of school. I felt like such an idiot, LOL!

Oh yeah. I could post a photo of my "using dead sea salt to cure my acne" incident, but you might honestly be scarred for life. :-\ Then there was the time I put glycolic acid on my face right after waxing. And the time two days before my first Tori show when I decided to overuse my acne treatment gel and end up with scabs and rashes all over my face.

^ I have no clue how to use an eyelash curler! Last time I tried, I pinched the skin :X

I cut my eyelashes with a scissor when I was around five years old. My mother was so upset that she slapped me in the face. That was the only time she ever hit me, and it was a shock reaction, cause I could have cut my eye or something. I still have to giggle when I think about it: I nearly got my mother a heart attack.

Hahaha these stories are amusing.
I cut my hair too when I was younger, a huge chunky from one side, I ended up having a way dodgy fringe cut in because of it.
I used to shave my eyebrows too...like half of them off. Cringeeeee.

the most "recent" disaster (3 years ago) was when i changed haircut. the problem is i followed some BAD BAD BAD advices and went to a hairdresser i didn't know. the result was so horrible i cried for two weeks took a year to get back to something decent. conclusion: i'll never ever listen to some stupid advices again! i cut my hair several times when i was a kid though. still now, leaving me alone w/th a pair of scissors isn't a good idea

I tried to cut my own hair once, too. Yikes! I had a really short cut when I was first in college back when I was 18-19. It was a cute "pixie" cut but to stay cute it needed to be cut often. Being a poor college student I couldn't afford a haircut so I attempted to do it myself. I ended up looking like one of The Beatles. It wasn't too bad at first but once it started to grow a little, which only takes about a week or so for me, it was REALLY AWFUL!! My friends would not let me live it down. And what is worse is that I looked like this when my Mom decided that she wanted to get professional pics taken of me and my sister, so now that lapse in judgment is forever immortalized and framed on the wall in my mother's living room!!

Haha, I think we've all been down the "I'm gonna cut my own hair" road. When I was younger, my mom used to always cut my bangs when they got too long. Well, one time she cut them soo crooked, I tried to fix em myself. Before I knew it, I had none left. Cue the crying in toilets, the "oh my god, why me" rants. They grew back really oddly. I'm a tomboy at heart and since I grew up with mostly boys, I have(and still don't) not much knowledge of make up and girly stuff. But I do try to make some sort of effort. Hey, what's wrong with just wanting to get up and go? So yeah....I went through a phase of blue eyeshadow at the age of 16 ( ), overtweezed my eyebrows( !!! ) and when I think I was around 14, I decided to cut my really really long hair short. I don't know why, I can't remember. It was waist length at the time. I got home, got some scissors....cut one side and then the other. After a few minutes one side was shorter than the other, and in trying to even them out, I reached shoulder length hair. Hahaha, I kept looking in the mirror with shock. I tried pulling on my hair for it to grow back. What's funny is that now, I can't stand long hair. I keep it short all year round. If I can hold it in a pony tail, it's gotta go. I almost shaved it off completely a few weeks ago but decided againts it. ;D

i think i was a sophomore in highschool when i was going through this whole "rebel without actually being a rebel" faze. I asked my mum to dye a small chunk of hair blue, and it came out pretty well the first time. But then i decided to be bold, and asked her to dye an even bigger chunk blue.
any way, she fucked up the bleach, so it came out all blotchy and uneven, and even bleached out a few specks that werent supposed to be bleached. I figured the blue would rectify the situation, so we preceded to dye it blue, which turned out disastrously.
Then, my father came up with a brillian plan to get rid of the blue, by dying it all brown. Needless to say, by the next day i had huge, puke-green chunks of hair that i had to go to school with. And everyone knows that the highschool years are some of the most traumatic, so hair-mishaps are like the end of the world.

oh, and im pretty sure that cutting your own hair is a natural step in life... and a necessary one. i work at a preschool, and you wouldnt believe the amount of kids who've done it to themselves. and the bangs are usually the first to go.

^ I think you're right! When I was little, though, it was my mom's fault. I remember her trying to cut my bangs and she ended up cutting them too short because she was trying to make them even. I looked like a boy, but at least I wasn't in school yet!
