Hello everyone , i never really wore make up until my mid-twenties, and now i love it! I have alot of different eyeshadows, especially glittery ones like the barry m pots . I'd like to try some different looks-mainly something classic but more defined for daytime and some more dramatic looks for going out. thing is, i don't know where to start and everytime i try for something different it either looks a mess, or looks the same as always but just takes twice as long to apply! any tips would be greatly appreciated

My number one tip is Benefit makeup! It's absolutely fab! Their makeup is gorgeous, really good quality and beautifully packaged. All their makeup comes with lessons in how to apply it and their website is really helpful too. Think its www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk I just bought the Big Beautiful Eyes palette and it's sooooo good! Definitely worth checking out! Also if you go into the big department stores where they have a benefit counter they will often offer to give you a free makeover and show you how to apply the makeup too.

Thank you lucy. I do love benefit,i haven't got any for ages. Last time i went to a counter, the girl made an appointment for me to have a make up lesson with her. I was really looking forward to it. I got there and she goes " Oh it's my friends last day can we just skip your appointment"!!! if someone did that now, i would probably complain. But this was 5 years ago so i just squeked an apologetic "but i have a date" it was when i first met my boyfriend, you know before he'd seen me without make up on ;D she quickly piled some eye shadow on me,i felt like crap and didn't go back again! So, i basically let that one time put me off the brand, which is silly in a way. I might check out the web site or go to the newer(nicer?) department store......now i just have to try and not spend all my pay on make up
