I don't think anyone has started a thread for this film as of yet and it's one of my favourite films My exboyfriend told me to watch it a few years ago and I never got round to doing so until I stumbled across this fan video</a> with "I can't see New York" as background music. It's incredibly painful and gritty to watch but fantasically directed and Ellen Burstyns performance is absolutely driven so I reconmend you watch it ;D

It's one of my faves too! I remember the first time I saw it, I cried so much at the end that I had to watch the ending again and cry some more! ;D Even the theme makes me teary-eyed www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDFqyxJZULg So depressing and painful but one of the greatest movies EVER!

ahhh, yes. beautiful movie, beautiful soundtrack, beautiful acting, hopelessly tragic...all the things that make a great movie. i love this film, but it never ceases to make me cry. has anyone read the book? it's amazing. if you like the movie i highly recommend the book.
