I actually am a Fan. I loved a lot of his songs! (Many of them can be found on my Top-1280 Song List, which is also Posted on the very same "Mr. Microphone" Section of this Site.) Although I am a Fan of his Music, and consider him among the Greats in the Music World - I also think he had a lot of psychological problems and was mentally unstable. Additionally, I have never been totally convinced that he was innocent of sexually abusing Children. (However, I am certainly not sure he did molest children, either.) Notwithstanding, I have always had a question-mark in mind regarding that. Nevertheless, his mental and emotional aberrations - Do not in any way detract from his amazing Talent and Genius for Music! It was a great loss for the Music World. Steve B.

Actually when I say I'm not a fan I must say that the older stuff was musically amazing. I would never go to a gig and I only own the History album (which I didn't even buy), but come on; Thriller, Scream, Billie Jean, Jackson 5 stuff, Earth Song etcetera etcetera etcetera

This is really horrible. RIP MJ. I found out in a bar, they played Thriller in tribute it was quite touching really! It's such a shame he never made his comeback and he was so young! This year has just been sucky from the start.

I feel so sorry for his fans. Hes the only artist I can think of who has such devoted followers. So many have loved him for so long and it will leave a huge void. Im sure we will hear of at least one suicide due to this And then theres the conspiracy theories that will last for decades. Was he murdered? enough people would have wanted him dead for money or revenge or hatred for the sexual abuse claims. Did he fake his death? Was it suicide? So many people will never accept that he just died of a heart attack. Imagine if it was Tori and how we would feel

This is really schocking. I haven't been a fan of him during last few years but I listened to his music when I was younger. I even had some records. He was one of this icon that had a great contribution to the contemporary music. Too bad that most of the people who are not familiar with his music wll remember him from these scandals.
I just saw on Cnn that Farraceh Fawcett died too.

This is really sad news. I think he was truly talented and it's a pity he's gone. He kinda lost it musically in recent years but his 80s albums are amazing, especially Thriller and Bad and of course his Jackson 5 albums.

I'm completely speechless. He meant so much to so many. Never was a huge fan but you have to say he was at one point "the coolest man who walked this planet" (watchin Man in the Mirror right now) My sympathy to his family, fans, and children. His vision of "world peace" was just so heartfelt. My favorite song by him was "Dirty Diana". Without Michael, there wouldn't be many of the artists we have today. So sad that his "comeback" was to be around the corner but never happened. R.I.P Michael.

I know it'll happen in my lifetime, but that would be so horrible.. Anyway, I do get what you're saying about his fans. They are very loyal and some are a bit nuts themselves so I wouldn't put it past them I did love the dancenparties and celebrations that were going on outside the Apollo. It's a nice way to come together and it changed the mood a little. Edit: No, not Earth Song! Dead Michael or no dead Michael, that video kills me every time! (although I could've done without his face) The dolphin! The baby seal! The elephant! The African baby! The Romanian (?) people! I know it has a happy end, but
