did anyone catch pj on later with julls holland yesterday!??! i never got to see a show or anything with her, so this is as close to a show as i've come. fucking amazing. i was watching it from 23:30 and when she got near the end of "big exit" i could feel this stabing in my chest, but i told myself that if this is my time then i couldn't have chosen a better one well, her music has that affect on me alot and what was that second song she did? i have to watch it again... (i taped it of course!). and now i'm a happy girl and i can ignore everyone around me and play that show in my head over and over oh! and when the audience sang "happy birthday" to her, that was so cute! just imagine performing on your b.day... oh well, i'm sure she did it because she wanted to do it. so, was anyone watching too?

Nope! Of course I'm over in the land of the fattest, laziest humans on Earth. Last time I saw her (last winter), was on the Jay Leno show. I got out of class early and just managed to catch her perform. AWESOME! The best though was when I saw her at the State Theater in Detroit 1995. I was a person away from the barricade (someone was in front of me) . During one song I looked up and I swear she was looking at me. I'm not naive I know with all the lights in her face that she couldn't make out anyone in the audience....but it was still pretty cool.

I'm not naive I know with all the lights in her face that she couldn't make out anyone in the audience....but it was still pretty cool. I'm pretty sure she would have been able to see you... I've had that a few times at various gigs. The funniest was Shirley Manson of Garbage trying to sing Queer while watching me run away from the stage. It was quite a few years back, but me and my mate (who has always been quite short) managed to get down the front. We'd never been right in the middle of the crowd at the front of a stage before, and when Garbage came out, the crowd went wild and my mate just turned and ran because he couldn't deal with being crushed like we all were! I thought "Shit, i'm gonna' loose him!" and went running after him... I was wearing really big DM's, and had people screaming in pain as i stepped on their feet! I glanced up towards the stage and Shirley was looking directly at me with a look on her face a bit like this :- . I kept glancing from my rapidly disappearing mate to the stage, and she followed me until i'd got too far for her to see... I've also had Badly Drawn Boy look me directly in the eye (i know because he was pointing right at me and had to tilt his head right back to see from under that hat!) when i sat at the front of the upstairs section at the same venue. If i had been downstairs, that would have worked out at around 8 or 10 rows from the front... Saw Polly there as well within the same month (same seats as well), but although she scanned along the crowd up and down stairs, she didn't really seem to be making eye contact with anyone. Oh well, next time .
