OH THANK YOU FOR THESE PICTURES MY DEAR SID I knew you took some great ones She was amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing Nabs and i arrived and walked thru Camdem (one heck of a cool neighbourhood ) and arrived at the Roundhouse at 4 and waited 'til 7 (toes could not move for an hour once we got in, it was too.fucking.cold ;D), and at 5 Cat Power passed RIGHT in front of us. *eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek* we couldn't believe it but we didn't do anything about it. Aaaaaaaaaaah maaaaaaaaaan. we waited a lot and were in damn front row ( ) with Sid and Nabs, then Smurph and his lady came along and then Steve. IT WAS A GOOD FUCKING CONCERT MY GOLLY She is too cute for words i swearrrrrr, she was so jolly and danced all the time and is just the most adorable and hottest fucking creature alive. Maaaaaan. She's so funny too, awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww man she's so special i felt so sad when the show ended, like i missed her or something She played all of The Greatest nearly, my favs were probably Could We and Willie ( ) OH YEA OMFG she did this bitchin' mix of Cross Bones Style and Nude as the News It was interesting as hell, wished i had taped it. Aw man what a great show After we left early cause Smurphie lives a bit far away, fell asleep at 2amish woke up at 8 left at 9 i had a train at 10h55. It was soooooooooooooooooooo cooooooooooooool finally meeting the Naboo She's a great person. We were so cold waiting we got a bottle of white wine and shared it 'til 6 so we got chirpy good But even in the train and all, it all went well, she's really the Naboo i expected, she rocks and it was so cool meeting the famous Smuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurph! who moved into London two weeks ago max i think, and seems to be really happy i told him maja, that you thought he was hot like you asked me to tell him i can't remember when he said to tell you the feeling was mutual Man i miss Cat Power, i swear if i was rich i'd follow her all over, she seems so much happier and comfortable now, she was so damn entertaining, and just, the cutest in the world, and her voice sends you right off the edge like you'd expect it    brilliant gig, feel so empty and nostalgic now

[/IMG] It was interesting as hell, wished i had taped it.
Oh well... maybe someone else did... It was indeed a fantastic show and Chan is so entertaining to watch even when she isn't actually singing. Crazy random dance moves, and her attempt at a cockney accent cracks me up. She was doing it the last time I saw her at the Barbican too. "Fank yoo Lahhndaahn" ;D She seems much happier these days ([posh] tea having taken over as her new vice apparently), although I wish she would stop giving herself the thumbs down after some of the songs. I think being on the road with a huge band probably helps Chan keep it together better. On and off stage it must be like a big support network. It's such a change from the first time Sid and I saw her play solo at Shepherds Bush Empire when she was all over the place and just seemed to be getting progressively more frustrated and upset with herself. People in the audience were walking out half way through the show. So nice to see that sort of situation seems to be a thing of the past now It was really good to see everyone though unfortunately I couldn't get to the venue until just after doors opened so didn't get much chance to catch up. I know Sid, as he mentioned, has one pic of Hanna and Nabs. Did anyone else take photos of the meet up? I think we are a bit rubbish at doing that. I've got a few Cat Power photos and of course a video from the Roundhouse so I'll try to get them online sometime soon. I'm so tired lately and I have a backlog of a few hundred shots from various gigs so dunno when I'll actually get around to it! I'm back at the Roundhouse for Dresden Dolls tonight so that's (hopefully) even more pics to sort through - argh! ;D
