Charlotte Martin - Steel
This song is how I feel.
He took me in his arms But then he squeezed too hard He wouldn't let me breathe, breathe, breathe

My Favorite Book by Stars I really disliked this album when it came out, but I'm starting to love it. Very subtle in some ways I guess. This track is a great bit of modern Canadian pop music with a delicious bit of 70s AM radio splashed in. Amy Milan has a gorgeous voice-does Canada have a secret genetic engineering program to create the world's finest female vocalists? Can't....stop....repeating...track... The Full Track on Last.fm if anyone is interested in 4 minutes of pop perfection www.last.fm/music/Stars/_/My+Favourite+Book

Don't Push Your Foot on the Heartbreak - Kate Bush I quit listening to Kate for a while, and now I'm getting to re-discover the magic in her music. I'm very happy today

Johnny Cash's Version of I you could read my mind (American V)
In a castle dark or a fortress strong, With chains upon my feet. You know that ghost is me. And I will never be set free As long as there's a ghost that you can't see.

Dresden Dolls 'Gravity'... has been for a while. I cannot get it out of my head.
hate to break it to you but its out of my control forces go to work while we are sleeping if I could attack with a more sensible approach obviously thats what I'd be doing
........ gravity works slowly if you notice it at all some of us are getting mighty lucky if you had to live with this you'd rather lie than fall you think I can't fly well you just watch me

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb There is no pain, you are receding. A distant ships smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin. When I was a child I had a fever. My hands felt just like two balloons. Now I got that feeling once again. I cant explain, you would not understand. This is not how I am. I have become comfortably numb.I could listen to this song on repeat for HOURS.

Charlotte Martin - In Parentheses
I drink the water out of time I said, has anybody seen The whirlpool floating in my mind I said, has anybody seen This is the low that I could find

Sia - The Girl You Lost To Cocaine
Yeah I’ve been your crutch, your smell sight and touch Yeah I took you home when you’ve drunk too much But I can’t survive, with you by my side See I’ll never get laid, while I’m running your life
This song cracks me up. LOVE it! ;D

Mark Lanegan - Kingdom of rain
Are those halos in your hair Or diamonds shining there Without a hope, without a prayer This rain beats down like death You turn your eyes to better men
Before I go, I'll hang in a cross on nails I hung on for you in there
Girl lay your shame to rest Hope lies close to your breast You stoop to feed the crows Some scraps of truth already cold
Before I go, I'll hang in a cross on nails I hung on for you in there And every kingdom of rain comes fallin' down 'Cause I loved you somewhat 'Cause I loved you somewhat
Would you put halos in your hair Without a hope, without a prayer With lies close to your breast You finally lay your shame to rest
Before I go, I'll hang in a cross on nails I hung on for you in there And every kingdom of rain comes fallin' down 'Cause I loved you so long 'Cause I loved you so long 'Cause I loved you so long

I have become comfortably numb.I could listen to this song on repeat for HOURS. Oh oh, one my all time favorites. I've always loved the line towards the end: When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look But it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child has grown The dream is gone...Such a heartbreaking image of growing up and loosing ambition and vitality to the rigors of the adult world. I live this lyric every day...nah just kidding, ain't that bad . I've been having a mostly classical day, but I did listen to The Weekend Wars by MGMT a bunch of times on the way into the office. Such a cool song!
