So, Lost began here yesterday. Not really convinced. I already hate the Monster-Thingie, or whatever that is. And I've seen only the first episode, but maybe I'll change my mind when I see some more.

It took me a while to get into too Jamne - I'm not typically into this genre of series but this kept me interested with all of the twists & turns in the plot (even if some of them are a little far fetched). The 2nd series starts in Australia this Thursday

Keep at it Jamne... It's a slow-burner, but it's worth the patience required. I know of so many people who gave up after only a few episodes because they found it "a bit silly" or "boring", and then as the series hit the halfway to two-thirds point they were all regretting having not stuck with it from the start because it had really got going at last... It's a difficult thing to explain without at least partly ruining it for you, and that's the last thing i'd want to do. All i'll say is that it's not so much the island situation which will grab you as it goes on, but rather the characters and how their flashbacks begin to have things in common. I've had to be so damn careful with what i'm saying here. ;D Ironically the episodes which are mostly about the island itself are the most boring. Stick with it, it's worth it. And i'll have to start avoiding this thread again soon since good old C4 (which has the rights to it here in the UK) have decided we have to wait til freaking spring to see season 2. Like it wasn't bad enough that they held back season 1 for almost an entire freaking year!

I wasn't really convinced at the begining too because of this monster thing but I forced myself to watch few episodes 'cause everybodu was talking about it and now I don't regret. When the first season ended and they said that the second season would be shown by Pollish channel #1 in autumn I was like Lucky me I have cable TV so now I can watch second season on some other channel called AXN But it's a bit different . I'm not so into it like I was during first season Maybe because then they showed two episodes at on go and now it's only one episode about 45 minutes and it's a bit boring. They are doing something during whole time and nothing really happens and then when something finally starts happening it ends and you have to wait whole fucking week to see another episode and during this time all excitement dissappears 'cause I forget most of the action But anyway I watch it. btw this channel AXN when the first season ended they made "Lost weekend" and during saturday and sunday you could have watched all episodes. It was like from 6 pm till 6 am, I think. 12 epsiodes for each day. That was fun

I must say that I'm not really enjoying the second series as much, but it's early days. Will see. My new weekly fix is Prison Break

I must say that I'm not really enjoying the second series as much, but it's early days. Will see. My new weekly fix is Prison Break *Peeps between fingers to see if she mentioned any spoilers... *Sees she mentioned Prison Break instead... Yay! Prison Break is pretty cool. The actor who plays the guy awaiting his death sentence was really good in his previous tv series 'John Doe' (tho the least said about him playing Dracula in Blade 3 the best! ). It'll be interesting to see how they keep this series going tho, since it's an even more difficult to stretch out premise than Lost has... And why do i always find myself drawn to tv series set in prisons? I blame good old Prisoner Cell Block H from when i was a kid. :sus:

Lost really shits me off. Okay so first season I hated the damn show, watch first 3 and then I couldnt stand how slow and frustrating it was. Ended up watching the last episode of season 1 and was like damnit! After that I had to know what happened. Have watched most of the episodes of season 2 that have so far been on, and it is still shitting me with its pace! I just get so frustrated and then at the end of an episode something happens so I want to watch the next one but then very little is revealed anyway and it makes me more frustrated... and I find none of the men attractive in it at all...

Well, I think Lost is just FUCKING FANTASTIC. I love it's slow pace. Tho, I don't think it's *that* slow, like some people think it is. It's a prog which just grows. You need to hang in there. Too many progs out there are all about action and now now now, just like in this fucking world. I love the fact it's mysterious and totally bonkers. Andrew and I watched the first 10 episodes of the second series last night, a friend of my dad has access to a channel where they are broadcasted much earlier, so... ;D Of course, now we need to wait till he has recorded some more... damn. I must say that the second series are as great as the first ones. It's just great to see more and more info about those people's lives and how everyone is starting to connect. There is so much thought behind these stories. Just great! I LOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS PROGRAMME!!! --> and this means a lot since I rarely find any prog good.

I think we are over halfway season 2 now (Michelle Rodriguez is in it for a while now, check out http://www.imdb.com) and we had some very interesting episodes, where everything came together.
Must not forget to record the episode tonight again, like we always do.
