Oooo yes... I love me some Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet... My fav painters in the whole goddamn world are: - Klimt - Monet - Permeke - Renoir - Van Gogh - Vermeer - Manet - Brueghel - Gauguin - Degas I hope I didn't forget any... Here are some works I adore: Gustav Klimt - The KissMonet - Lady with the umbrellaJan Vermeer - Girl with the pearl earring[have seen this in real life] Constant PermekeDegas - The Dancing ClassHe painted a lot of dansers... I just LOVE it.

by the way... Gustav Klimt has some amazing technique. I know I've seen that particular work before... it is breathtaking.

I can get lost in each of those paintings. There was a time a while back where I thought I could re-create some of his pieces, and I implore everyone to try. It really helps you appreciate his greatness.

Oh yes, van Gogh!My faves are the ones by him Hanna also posted. He was born in a town very close to mine. I used to have a teacher that was mad passionate about him, I think that might have rubbed off on me!
I usually am more of a fan of surrealism though (see Cauty's post), these paintings are so mysterious, and they sometimes have this haunting, threatening feeling about them.

I Escher, but I can not stand Dali's work. I dunno, I just do not like it. I did a whole project around Escher at school once, the kids absolutely loved it.
