Anyone into this? I just started watching and I loved the first two episodes. This is the description from imdb: "A family of crooks assume the identity of an upper-middle-class suburban clan in the Deep South."It's sad and hilarious at the same time. Minnie Driver plays a drug addict mother who just came out of jail. And she is really into it. Her performance is stunning.

Yes! I started watching this a few months ago, but then, as you know, my cable went out. Thus, I missed a hell of a lot of episodes and have yet to catch up ;D I agree Minnie Driver is AWESOME in this. As is Eddie Izzard And the cross-dressing lil boy? I last left off where he starts working in the law firm and totally half assing everything and getting away with it!

Yeah, the boy is one of the best child characters ever. ;D Tho it also makes you think who hard this must be. I know a girl of my age who was born as a boy and also started dressing like a girl when she was only 4 years old. Luckily her parents were very intelligent and went to several doctors to discuss this and help her. She officially lives as a girl since she was 12 and changed her name. It was very hard for her at school, because everyone got to know her as a boy.

/thread hi-jack Oddly enough, I was watching a program on transgendered people this weekend. The good, being the accepting parents. The bad being the non accepting parents and then them having to prostitute for a living to eat a decent meal. :-\ I mean, it was a very interesting show to say the least.
Also this one program about the this boys family who tried to raise him as a girl because the doctore botched the circumcision(sp?) and permanently fucked his mind. He killed himself in 2004 or 05, not sure.

An Austrian film maker made a very interesting documentation about a boy who was born with a very rudimentary penis and so they just decided to remove it. He just slowly figured out what was wrong and why he felt so wrong all his life. He decided to life as a man again.

Yes, that sounds almost exactly like the one I mentioned above. It's extremely sad, when science gets in the way of nature. UGH.
