^ Yes, I only saw the trailer and was worried about no mention of 'George' too... but maybe they want to keep that as a surprise... hmm. I still going to go see it tho.

I've seen it. That was positively the worst adaptation of a book EVER. The book was absolutely amazing. One of the most beautiful books I've ever read. And they've gone and turned it into a horrible display of random events which people who haven't read the book will not understand... even *I* thought it was confusing. Nothing is explained, everything goes back and forth, Henry is not nearly as annoying as he really was, they take you to Hever and the Tower but fail to let you know what the hell is going on and where everyone is and why they're there, it's a total mess. Good acting by those two girls though, I have to admit. But their English was horrible, the accents were not right and the way they spoke was not how they spoke in the 16th century... it was way too modern, as in 19th century. And I fell asleep THREE times. What an utter disappointment

I saw it It was awful. from the very beginning they tell you that they are going to tell Annes story not Marys. They miss out so much it wasnt worth telling the story in the first place. I imagine its a very hard book to convert to film because it is so epic. but to just say oh Anne had a sister who Henry liked first - show her shagging him for half an hour, completly miss out the birth of her first child (who was at Annes side when she died) show her having her second child and then to ignore her story for the rest of the film whilst you concentrate on Anne and Henry looking lustily at her neck is pointless. We all know that henry was besotted with Anne, divorced his wife and changed the church to do it and then had her beheaded. and thats all the film is about. All of Marys story is forgotten. A complete waste of time. Portman is only just convinvcing as Anne and Scarlett is fab until half way when shes left with simpering girl with a pearl earing face. The best charactors are her parents who are so well acted and its good to concentrate on their emotions a bit. I think they were hankering to make the boleyn inheritance into the sequel as they touch on Jane and the Dukes relationship a lot but I doubt anyone is stupid enough to repeat this shambles. Bitterly disapointed.

Natalie Portman did some "not so good" movies lately. She should fire her agent.
