Is the new movie by M. Night Shyamalan. A lot of people didn't like 'Lady in the Water' and 'The Village' his more recent movies, but I absolutely ADORE every single movie he has ever made. I'm a huge fan and I can't fucking wait!! The trick with his movies is not to expect anything. I remember people pissed off 'cos there was no twist in 'Lady in the Water', which is ridiculous. The movie is a straight-up dark fairytale [with lots of humor], is all. Anyhow, here's the trailer for 'The Happening': www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkRoC-Lz8zo

This newest movie looks REEEEAAAAALLLYYY interesting! I can't wait! plus it has a good cast. I love M. Night Shyamalan, and I agree with you, I think all of his movies are excellent.

I LOVED The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. I thought they were both amazing. I didn't care for Signs (aliens come to take over a planet that's made predominantly of water and they can't tolerate water? Mmmkaaaay), and I haven't seen the rest of his movies (The Village and Lady in the Water). I'm kind of on the fence about whether to see this new one or not. It looks intriguing!

so has anyone seen it already? i still think the idea is good, but me wants my money back anyway. the cast is cool, but the dialogues ruin everything - so poor it hurts. the goriness surprised me too for a Night Shyamalan film... was it really *that* necessary to show so much? the impact would have been greater without showing anything and just leave it to imagination. too bad

I liked how he wrote himself into Lady in the Water as a writer who's writing will change the world. Not a huge fan of his most recent listings, I think The Happening has one of the worse scores ever on Rotten Tomatoes. It's all good though, we all like who we like

I haven't seen this movie yet (and I probably won't), so I can't speak for myself, but I haven't heard a single good thing about it, :\.

I've wanted to see Lady in the water but I never got to! When I saw the commercial of it it looked really good but I missed out. I saw the village though but I didn't really like the plot of that movie. It was kind of well...odd

I've never seen "The Happening", but I have seen "The Village" and I thought it was a bit lame to be honest lol.

Ok, I saw 'The Happening' yesterday... and I LIKED IT!! I always seem to be one of the few people actually liking Shyamalan's movies these days. I haven't seen a movie I didn't like. I can understand people not liking 'The Happening' tho, but I like what he did with the theme... after watching the movie, it's still not really clear what happened... and is happening... but my take is just nature taking over, too many people on this planet... I just love that idea.
