I am resurrecting this thread cause I love TV ;D Voyager (just scrapes onto the list...) Awww poor Voyager, it was always my favourite, they just butchered it towards the end with the repeating stories, and that 7 of 9 / Chakotay Crap, I am still bitter about that. Anyways I love House, OMG he is so freaking hilarious! I am currently rewatching season one and two which I stole from my brothers house. I can't wait for the new season to start, my computer is going to hate me again for all the downloading I do during the US TV season Gilmore Girls - boo hoo it is finished. I cried so much during the finale. Cold Case Lost - even though it frustrates the hell out of me ER - Luka is so damn hot X Files NewsRadio Roswell Earth 2 - my secret shame hmm most of those are finished now but I have the DVD's...

I brought Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman to read on my flight home, I think I read two chapters before my eyes decided they had had enough and wanted to watch the movies and TV shows on offer. But so far I like it....just need to find the time to finish the book.

Bobby.
I am on a Kennedy buzz at the moment, reading books, watching movies. Loved Bobby, it wasn't even really about him or his assasination so much as it was about the hope everyone had before he was killed. And even though it is full of famous names, they don't overcrowd the movie.

Based on the Aramoana Massacre that occurred on 13 November and 14 November 1990. Resident David Gray, an unemployed gun collector, went on a rampage in which 13 people were shot dead, before Gray himself was shot by police. This was a pretty raw film, but it was brilliantly shot and acted - hard to believe this could happen in NZ which made it all the more frightening to watch. A really good movie if anyone is into this type of thing - as far from Hollywood as you can get but it is one of the best films I've seen in a long time.

Memoirs of a GeishaI absolutely loved the book and was anxious to see what they did with it, movie wise. I really liked it, tho wished they sticked with the ending of the book. What was the ending in the book? I hated the ending in the movie, it put me right off it...

I saw Blood Diamond last night. Really good film. Oooh I liked that movie, except when Leo kept losing his Saffa accent. prettyhatemachine let me know what you think of Lonely Hearts, I started watching that on the plane home but fell asleep and woke up half way through it. I just rewatched The Last King of Scotland - I love true stories. It is a good movie, so sad what happened in Uganda back in the 70's Forrest Whittaker definatly deserved his oscar for the role.

I finally got around to watching The Presteige the other nite which I had "borrowed" from my brothers house in London , I loved it! The twist at the end caught me by total surprise, but I might just be slow...it's a really good movie (even if Scarlett Johanssen is in it) plus it helps that Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are the leads

I can't put these in any order except for my number one, that is easy , there is a lot of Tori but she is mainly all I listen too so it is natural she would feature a lot 1) From the Chiorgirl Hotel - Tori Amos. No explanation needed really, but this will always be my top album, I fell in love with her years ago and she is the reason I fell for Tori, for that I am eternally greatful to her and will never leave her. And in no particular order;Scarlett's Walk - Tori Amos. This is a beautiful album from start to finish, not one song gets skipped when I listen to it. Campfire Songs - 10,000 Maniacs. Maybe it is cheating to have a best of album in my top...but who cares, I love the Maniacs, Natalie is good by herself but when she was with the band she was at her best. The songs make me happy. Again I don't skip a single one. Recurring Dream, The best of - Crowded House Again every song is wonderful. I am so pleased they have rejoined. O - Damien Rice lyrically I love this album, it is soothing to me. The Original London Cast recording of The Phantom of the Opera Now I know some of you are going WTF?!, but I grew up with this, and know every single song and line. Listening to this on tape with my sister and mother is one of the few memories I have of before my mum got sick and passed away. I am listening to it right now and it makes me smile remembering the good times. Love the show too - have seen it three times Little Earthquakes - Tori Amos. Some of my faves are on this album, and some of my fave B Sides came from this album. This is in the top simply for giving me Mother, Girl and Precious Things. Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morissette. I don't listen to this a lot, but it was a groundbreaking album for me. Under the Pink - Tori Amos Space Dog, PGY, Past the Misson, CFG, Yes Anastasia, The Waitress...need I say more? Boys For Pele - Tori Amos Took me a long time to get into this album, it wasn't until recently (Maybe the last two years) that I grew to fully appreciate this for what it is, pure genieous.

^^^ thanks.
I made it finally, everytime there was turbulence I thought of Tori saying that the dolphins are down there and it made me giggle - people must have thought I was a nutter because it was really bad at times.

Hey Everyone! I thought I better introduce myself. I'm Amy, from NZ obviously. I met a bunch of wonderful Afterglowers in London last week - so here I am. So I flew over to London a few weeks ago mainly to see Tori, cause she never blimmin well comes to NZ But it was amazing to see her here, I have lots of photos but I can't post them till I get home later this week. With the help of everyone here, I got front row seats on the first London show - the best way to see Tori and I got to meet her that day which was totally overwhelming, I was nervous but extremly happy at the same time. Loved all three nites and now want to go to Aussie if my bank balance will allow it. It was so good to meet some of you in London and Manchester, hopefully I'll get to meet more of you as time goes on.
