I don't know. The book in Austria isn't that dumb. Of course there are some pretty obvious things in it, but not like "avoid accidents": LOL! But we always have to consider that everyone can drive a car, even people who voted for Bush Jr. a secound time. ;D @juanita: She already passed the theory part.

My friend Anja is going to make her driving licence in the USA again, when you stay longer than 3 months you have to do the test again, even if you already have the driving licence in Europe.
That's ok, I think, but she just sent me some quotes of the book she has to study. Some advices just made me laugh tears. I have to share this with you.
Enjoy:
The best advice for driving in the fog is DON’T.
It’s safer to use the brakes than honk the horn
Sometimes there will be dangers on both sides of the road at the same time. For example, there will be parked cars to the right and oncoming cars to the left
Persons who present dangers are: Pedestrians with umbrellas in front of their faces or hats pulled down over their eyes. Confused people such as tourists, often at complicated intersections.
It is illegal to leave a child six years of age or younger unattended in a motor vehicle when: There are conditions that present a significant risk to the child’s health or safety. Example: Leaving a child in a closed car on a very hot day. The penalties for leaving an unattended child in a vehicle are more severe if the child is injured, requires emergency medical services, or dies.
If you drive for sight-seeing purposes to the scene of a fire, accident, or other disaster you may be arrested Highway workers warn you of their presence by using orange signs and wearing reflective vests. It’s up to you to ensure both your own and the workers’ safety by driving slowly through construction zones. Remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.” The highway worker’s life is in your hands.
