PJ Harvey once toured with Tori Amos, I believe, here in the US. It was somewhere around the "Choirgirl" or "Venus" era. I hate so bad that i missed it, that had to be the best show ever! They are both very unique and also similar in many aspects. They are both so passionate and talented. I got all of PJ's and Tori's albums, instead of really having favorite albums, I more like have favorite songs from each. PJ's music is quite often angry, dark, insane, hilarious, sometimes melancholy, dramatic, and on a very few songs she even seems "happy" (heaven forbid!) but she's a very deep and talented artist. Her main instrument is the guitar, but on "White Chalk" she used a piano to be the lead instrument. It was a great experimental departure from her norm, although she's not as skilled a pianist as Tori, the music is light, spooky, and darkly enchanting. I especially love songs "Oh My Lover", "Plants and Rags", "Me Jane", "Naked Cousin", "Snake", "Ecstasy", "Hardly Wait", "Yuri G", "Driving", "M-Bike", "Rid of Me", "Reeling", "Man-Size", "Meet Ze Monsta", "C'mon Billy", "Teclo", "Long Snake Moan", "The Dancer", "Down By The Water", "Angelene", "The Wind", "A Perfect Day Elise", "The River", "The Bay", "The Garden"... I like most of the stuff from "Stories" too but I can't remember the names of my favorites right now, but from "uh huh her" I really loved "Shame", "Who The Fuck?", "The Letter", "It's You", "Desperate Kingdom of Love", "the Darker Days of me and him", PJ is great.
