I normally keep a book or 5 going at the same time. I have my night time book by the bed and the others are just scattered around the house near places i like to sit and read at. The bed book of the moment is Tai Pan by James Clavell, some of the other books are The R. Crumb handbook by Crumb and Peter Poplaski, Amphigorey Also by Edward Gorey, Choke by Chuck Palahniuk and The Great Shark Hunt by Hunter S Thompson. Choke was by far my least favorite Palahniuk book so far (I've read all of them but Haunted)- maybe it was because it seemed even more cynical and satirical than usual for him, or maybe it was simply the overabundance of heterosexual sex. Either way, I much preferred Invisible Monsters and Survivor. Anyways, I am currently reading "American Pastoral" by Philip Roth, and enjoying the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman for the second time (the amount of subliminal connections between characters and events, and the amount of references to history, mythology, and Tori, is astounding!). Reason for Editting: forgot to share which books I'm reading

I've always been an immense fan of Neil's works, but it wasn't until this past month or so that I finally ran into the Sandman series. I'd heard of it, of course, but I had never gotten around to reading it. I've read four of the volumes so far, and I am definitely addicted now. I also now understand why this series is Neil's trademark. I've had to read them a bit out of order since it appears that I'm not the only patron of the local library who is in love with the series, and A Game of You just might be my favourite work of Neil's to date.
Anyway, to get back to the poll question, I simply adore Death. Her existence in the Sandman comics has made me much less apprehensive of the concept of death. If she were the one to take me to the afterlife, I would probably have no fear at all. I love her somewhat whimsical and eccentric personality, and her style is amazing too. "The Sound of Her Wings" was my favourite of the stories in Preludes and Nocturnes simply because it had her in it. One of my favourite lines of hers is in "Facade", when she is talking to Element Girl, and talks about how she was here waiting when the first living thing was created, and how she will be here after all the living things in the universe are gone, waiting to stack the chairs and turn off the lights as she leaves.

I like this Scholastic one much better than either of the UK ones (although the children's UK cover was pretty decent). There's just something about GrandPre's style that I'm in love with. In fact, that's probably the one thing that I dislike about reading the books in Spanish- the lack of her illustrations.

It was a great movie, but a tad bit over-rated. It's just a shame that Hot Topic got a hold of it...

This is one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. It would definitely make it to my top ten list.

I adore Regina almost as much as I adore Tori! Soviet Kitsch and Songs are some of my favourite albums ever, and I completely adore 11:11 and Begin to Hope as well (though I agree that Begin to Hope would be better if it weren't so beefed up). One thing that I admire about her is that she is a living example of how beauty can be rather simple. Some of my favourite songs are Consequence of Sounds, Carbon Monoxide, Buildings, Dance Anthem of the 80s, Ghost of Corporate Future, and Ne Me Quitte Pas.
