My mother discovered The Suffering, Ties That Bind for $25 at Big W, so I figured I could afford it and got it... Its not as good as the first one, and I kept getting really stuck, buts its okay. Not that I have finished the first one yet!

yeah, we somehow came across one of the handheld little pacman games, and some other one. It was bright yellow casing and kinda large and a little "B&w" screen, I think it was a circular shape.

its an NES... half the old games dont work, and half the time the machine doesnt work, you have to kinda jiggle the game around. my nana has our old sega master system 2 for when kids are over, but lately it goes all weird. My mum and aunt where crazy about alex kid in miracle world when it came out. sorry I have no idea what a Nintendo wii is

I just read Teppics reply about the game I recently got called The Suffering...
So what games, and what platforms, does everyone play...??
I dont own a lot of games and I dont play all that much, but when I do it is often for a long time and I like to complete them.
We only recently (late last year) got a PS2, as my 11year old sister enjoyed playing the games on my boyfs xbox hdd. He needed it back, and the next week mum bought a PS2.
I prefer the PS2...its nice and little and the controllers are also fairly small.
My favourite games are a series called Project Zero. Japanese horror games where your weapon is a camera. I havent managed to complete the first one yet but have finished the second and third.
I had previously played The Suffering when we had the xbox, and when we got the PS2 I wanted to buy it but could never find it on PS2, only for xbox. I had been thinking of buying Ties that bind (the 2nd one) but had never played it and I find if I havent played it previously so I will wait until I can to buy it (it is pretty cheap over here at the mo. btw $30-40. So Teppic if you play it let me know what its like...

I havent read any of his novels because they arent the style of novel I like to read. The Sandman series is really good, however I havent read "Death..." so I cant compare (its really expensive over here and not in the library) it in terms of whether Sandman is better to start off with. Even the trade paperbacks of Sandman are quite expensive over here...The whole set would set me back about $400-$500. I dont know if people are aware but australia doesnt really have a large publisher devoted to comics, we mostly have small scale publishers that do comics and others that do them like zines, so self produced and printed at a printery. So all we get is comics from OS and they tend to be expensive...a $3 US comic is about $5.50 here... Here is a link to aussie comics if anyone is interested www.tabula-rasa.info/AusComics/ComicsPublishers.htmlI am working on a comic zine at the moment based on the adventures of our bizarre pets, my comics are really bad, so the collection will be called "crappy comics about pets" or somethng like that.

^ Neil Gaiman is a fantastic writer in terms of comic book writing, though when you dont read comics reading a comic for the first time is often odd (my sister says she cant figure out how to read them!).
Gaiman writes such great dialogue for characters that makes sense to the character and isnt some crappy slang garbage. Too many newer comics are horribly writen. I tend to prefer when a comic is drawn by one person and written by another, this seems to keep both parties on the mark. Even though I enjoy Bear I think that it is a very indulgent of the writer.

is the Dead Zone the show based on the Stephen King book? If so, it was a show that I watched for a while and got really bored with, but I get bored with a lot of tv anyhow. Didn't do too well here tho.
