It is a very nice place to hangout. I see you already have 9. Before you know it, you'll have your password in no time. Are you a Chessplayer? Steve

I've dabbled with it a time or two...for me it's more about the collaboration of minds. With the right person chess becomes very interesting. Without that..there are far too many better ways to pass time

I appreciate Chess as an art form, in much the same way I see Music, painting, etc... Although I definitely hold Music in much higher regard. Steve B.

when you speak of Music...i'm sure you're speaking of more than just the notes. The idea that drums can be notated....ya know? The notes have to carry something...more than sound. The sound carries Something more than notes. Chess can be like that. More than just the physical action.I don't think it could ever happen with a computer....but when a computer was first produced, "they" said it would never do any good for the world. Who knows?

Hello Sammy!!!
This is "roxvelt" (my old screen name on the discussion forum we had in 2007) - it's so exciting to see you here!!! I remember you had sent me an invite, in 2009, which is when I was in Alaska for some months, and was very distracted with a job I was working at there, and did not have much internet access.
And I've been thinking about the old discussion forum, and was trying to find your invite message, but couldn't find it, and finally, I got here!!! :-)
I hope all is well! I traveled to Russia over the summer, and met a very sweet couple from Finland there, and they reminded me of you. Glad to see you here :-)

Hello Deborah :-)
Thank you so much for the welcome, it feels good to be back among Toriphiles again, after a long time...
I've had all these thoughts orbiting in my mind about this tour, the album, and also from looking back at all these years that I've been following Tori's music.
My life gets so busy and distracted, that I worry if I lose touch with that special something about her music that reaches me, and I've been trying to get myself in the state of mind where I can be more receptive to it, so that I can fully experience her live shows when the time comes. (It's going to be Seattle and Oakland) :-)
How do you all prepare for the experience? (I'll ask this in another forum too)
-rosibel
