I wanna experiment with eye make-up... I don't like too much colouring, like shades on my eye lids, 'cos I'm already wearing glasses and that's just too much, but I do wanna try 'cat eye make-up'... I think it's really cute... This is what I mean: ^ but then a lil bit less maybe, has anyone experience with this? Which products do you use... don't want one smudge fest!

I am not sure if you have access to these brands, but IME these are the best products *in order of my preference* : - Jane : Be Pure Mineral Eyeliner. This is a drugstore brand but it is my favorite. I have the greasiest lids ever and this stuff doesn't budge! It goes on smooth, even and pigmented. - Bobbi Brown : Gel Eyeliner. It's a close second to the Jane liner, but the Jane is about 33% of the price of the BB liner, so I prefer the Jane. - MAC : Fluidline gel liner. Not the best staying power compared to the others IME. Great colors to choose from, though. And if your lids are not as greasy as mine, it should be fine. With all of them, I do use a base/primer under them to increase staying power. I like Urban Decay's Primer Potion. My eye makeup doesn't move with this stuff! You'll need a liner brush. I like this one by Sonia Kashuk. It gives you tons of control. You can find one similar at an art supply store! I also think this is a pretty good tutorial for how to use a gel/cream liner to make a winged/cat eye look

Ooo that tutorial is really helpful! I love cat style eye makeup, I always do it on a night out. I usually start by priming my eyelids with Benefit Lemon Aid (I love everything Benefit!), then apply a shimmery gold powder on my eyelids, then use Rimmel liquid eyeliner over the top. It's the best and the cheapest I have used. It usually doesn't smudge a bit even after dancing all night in a sweaty club! I usually draw a very thin line first using short strokes then fill it in.

Liquid eyeliners are the best. I use this finnish product which doesn't smudge at all. Pick one with a firmer brush (pen tip like), it's way more easier to use than those long and soft ones.

Thanks for the video. It's helpful. I must try it one day. I do cat eye make-up quite often. But I have to say that it's not that easy like it looks. When you have this pen eyeliner, the line on your eyelid is quite wide, but when you use this brush eyeliner, it takes time and practice to make it look nice. And I almost always have one eye slightly different than the other one ;D I've never maneged to do this kind of eye make-up like movie stars have, that you know that it is there but it's not so visible. If you know what I mean. Let us know how it worked.

I've always wanted to do this but I suck at it. I can't draw the line nice and straight. I always look like a 3 year old gobbed it on me.
