I read that! I'm not sure how I feel about it, though. I've heard that the songs are Ys like in legnth, and that would be what, 15-17 songs worth, right? I think I'd be bored to tears with that many 15ish minute songs. Ys works because it's just 5 songs so the length isn't daunting.

Oh lord, I downloaded a bootleg from the Australian show (from the 18th) and the new songs are amazing. If they translate this well on the album, Have One On Me will be my favorite Joanna album.

I love Easy (reminds me a tad of Amanda Palmer if that's possible) and In California, so very Kate Bush. I love it. My fav. track so far.

My God, "'81" is gorgeous! It's streaming up on Drag City's website now. It's much like the live version from the boots, but in higher quality of course. So beautiful. Her voice has never sounded so good. She learns to use it better with each release. Also, from Milky Moon, here is the tracklist and division of discs : Disc One: 1 - Easy 06:04 2 - Have One On Me 11:02 3 - '81 03:51 4 - Good Intentions Paving Company 07:02 5 - No Provenance 06:25 6 - Baby Birch 09:30 Total: 43:54 Disc Two: 1 - On A Good Day 01:48 2 - You And Me, Bess 07:12 3 - In California 08:41 4 - Jackrabbits 04:23 5 - Go Long 08:02 6 - Occident 05:31 Total: 35:37 Disc Three: 1 - Soft As Chalk 06:29 2 - Esme 07:56 3 - Autumn 08:01 4 - Ribbon Bows 06:10 5 - Kingfisher 09:11 6 - Does Not Suffice 06:44 Total: 42:31

i love this new album. anytime i start listening to it i'm sinking in a dreamlike trip. the opener, easy, is so beautiful that it brings me to tears. and good intentions paving company! hell, this is good! for me it's her best album so far. i like her voice, i always liked it, but now it's rich and mature and full of soul.

The new album is the first Joanna Newsom record that I've bought and I've totally fallen in love! It's so relaxing and beautiful, I just wish I could afford to go and see her in London!

I would strongly recommended checking out the album "Ys" which is in my top three favorite albums of all time, right under Boys for Pele. It's a sweeping beautiful masterpiece!
