OKAY IT'S TIME TO SOLVE THE MYSTREY OF WHO OPHELIA IS -SINCE YOU HAVE JUST NOW BANNED HER IP ADDRESS: (As a result of what transpired in the "Why I Disagree With Those Who Criticze AATS" Post)
1. The person who goes by the Screen Name of "Ophelia" is my neighbor and a very good Friend of My Wife and I.
2. She was not into Tori originally, but after I kept on praising Tori, and getting to her to listen, she finally became a fan. I tried to get her to join this site for a long time, and was finally successful.
3. She then joined, with me helping her locate the site, and standing over her shoulder. Since she used to live in Washington D.C. she said she would rather have herself identified there - since we both lived in Winston-Salem, NC. I told her, that it didn't make any since to me, but she should do whatever she felt she wanted to do.
4. Often, I would write an Interpretation of a Tori Song, and she ask her to read it. She would read it and then heavily praise it.
5. I would tell her that if she really fell that way, then since she is a valid member of the site, I would love it if she also would post her fellings regarding that. I don't see why she would not have such a right as any other member - unless one should not have any friends, family, relatives, or neighbors on the Site - Because obviously, the same thing would happen.
I would leave, go into her Living Room, while she wrote a Response. She would then log off, and tell me if I wanted to see what she wrote, I would have to log back on and read it myself. I would do that, and then respond. I would then log off and tell her, if she wanted to see what I wrote, that it was now her turn to read it for herself.
6. At any rate, My Wife and I were visiting her today. However, we had just left before, she went back and logged on. She told me that I may not like what she wrote, but that she had to say what she thought - Telling me she felt what I wrote did look somewhat offensive - Though she knew I didn't mean it. I told her I fully understood, and that yes, she should write whatever she thinks, regardless of whether I agree with it or not.
7. Then what apparently happened is that she wrote something, but had accidently deleted it - But something happened there that neither one of us understands. I then went to her Computer and started to write a response and hit the Post Button. When I realized it was written and showing in her name, I immediately deleted it - but left a little period (.) there, in case she wanted to still write her message, prior to mine.
6. I forgot to tell her that, and my wife and I left and went back home. She saw that she still had a place to write in that original space , but didn't understand that I had written something there, only to later delete all but one period.
7. To make a long story short, she called me and told me you guys had BANNED HER IP ADDRESS!!!
8. I know my post had caused come misunderstandings and anger, but I have tried to apologize for that several times.
9. I don't understand BANNING HER IP Address because of it.
10. She did say that she really doesn't have a great need to be a member of the site, and thought the whole thing was a little silly - and seemed to be an amazingly strict from of censorship. As she put it, even if they thought we were one and the same, it seems to be an incredible over-reaction to actually BAN AN IP ADDRESS BECAUSE OF IT! I would actually agree with that. Even if someone had 100, screen-names (I don't know why anyone would want to do something like that) it still doesn't make sense to BAN THEIR IP ADDRESS BECAUSE OF IT!
At any rate, she is not asking for the IP Address to be released. She said that's something which is obviously entirely within your discretion - And that she would understand.
For me, I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND???
