OMG!!!... what a great night it was last night!!!
We first met up with Deborah [ ] and then we went inside, she and my mum went and grabbed a seat [non-numbered seats...] and I went to the toilet and when I came out the toilet they were playing Tori with Crucify!!! LOL. So funny & kewl!! There was a guest act, didn't know 'cos didn't say on the tix... anyways, the band is called montevideo and they are great!! They're Belgian and they have a great live sound and are very creative. Loved it. Their album cover cracked me up, 'cos it looks like Tori's FTCH!!! Maybe it's a homage, 'cos they definitely had in some songs a FTCH thing going on, with the keyboards and stuff.

And let's move on to An Pierlé!!!
I can not get over the woman's voice, she has such an amazing voice!! And she has matured SO much more since 2002 [and 2001], the previous times I've seen her. She delivered an awesome set last night. So much energy and she's so creative on stage AND FUNNY!!! Not to mention cute.
Now, she mostly played songs from her last album and from 'Helium Sunset'... which was quite normal, since she was there with a full band. [amazing band btw] These are SOME!!! of the songs she played:
Jupiter
How Does It Feel
Everytime you leave
I Love You
Tenderness
Snakesong
Mexico
Cold Winter
Medusa
Helium Sunset
Sorry
Sing Song Sally
Mud Stories
+ two covers
And a lot more songs... DEBORAH help me out here!
She is definitely an artist you need to see live, she has SO much energy and feeling when she performs. She's also everywhere on stage... she plays the accordion in one song, in the other song she plays her piano and then woops she's playing this keyboard thingie. Wow. Amazing stuff! I liked her latest album, some songs didn't come to me yet, but after this night, I appreciate the songs which I hadn't warmed up to much more now... excellent!
I liked what she did with 'Mud Stories', she started this song solo and meanwhile her band came on stage and sang the ending with her, like a choir... but almost chanting. Wow. Gooze bumps all over!!
And after the show we went in the entrance hall, to look at the merch and guess who was signing stuff? I quickly bought a poster and shoved it under her face! She looked at me, smiled and I said: 'Hi An', prolly with the dorkiest smile ever! She said: 'Hi there' and signed and kept on smiling, she obviously looked quite *on space cake high* lol. And she kinda looked at me questioning, like 'Don't you want to say something to me?' ;D Deborah got her ticket stub signed! We both looked like crazy mofo's! Teehee. Also, we went back to ask her for a picture, but she said 'No, but next time!'. She was quite exhausted and sweaty... don't blame her.
And here are some pics... now, the lights were quite dark and all over the place [which was cool to watch, but not cool for camera...] I also was just a tad bit too far away to take great ones and I kept on messing with my camera in the dark and well, not many came out that well. I have a super fancy camera which I can not use that well, especially when the images move! LOL. I really should have a look in the booklet which came along... Anyways, here ya go:
montevideo [guests]
fairy on piano alert...
signing...
What she signed for me... I LOOOOOOVE the lil drawing she made...
And I love where she put it... next to her hairy armpit!!!!!
She is da bomb. I tell you. She is so goddamn cute.
I'll try to catch her at another show later this year... I am determined to see her again!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAH HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
