The Butterfly Effect Seen it a couple of years ago, but couldn't remember the most of it. But it's a very impressive and intimidating movie. A modern classic รก la Donnie Darko. Unfortunately requels have been made for both movies...

S. Darko.
It was ok. It didn't cover any new territory from Donnie Darko.
Donnie Darko = terrible title, good movie.

Has anyone seen Wendigo?
It's the best example of how a really good movie can go bad ever (and I mean like pick your jaw up off the floor so you can ask your TV what the fuck the director was thinking bad). If you are at all interested in storytelling and/or film-making as an art form I highly recommend it.

I saw Coraline a few weeks ago, in a small filmhouse.
Luveditluveditluvedit!
I still wonder why it wasn't released wider here, it is such a nice movie! I bought the graphic novel soon afterwards, and although the storyline is slightly different, it is fun to read and watch.

Bright StarI liked it. Breath-taking imagery. Made me want to live in the English countryside. I didn't love it, but I enjoyed it. It was very quiet and serene and focused more on Fanny than it did Keats. It felt like I was watching real life unfold.

I just saw Paranormal Activity. I loved it. If you like scary movies, you'll probably like it. So much recent horror is nothing more than torturing and dismembering attractive young actors and/or showcasing special effects. This movie has very minimal effects and no gore at all. It's just clever, suspenseful storytelling. Good stuff.
