New Moon - so unbelievably bad, had me chuckling in places it shouldn't have Hangover - not as good as I thought it was going to be

Shrek 1-3 at Xmas last week. Still great. Up (last monday): not a movie for really young people, more for (young) adults. Liked it. The Hangover: Boooooring. War Inc. Pretty cool and enjoyable. Kung Fu Panda: Waaaaay better than expected. Män Som Hatar Kvinnor (Men Who Hate Women - Millennium trilogy part 1) (Extended cut): Best movie in a long long time!!!!

Män Som Hatar Kvinnor (Men Who Hate Women - Millennium trilogy part 1) (Extended cut): Best movie in a long long time!!!! are you kidding?? have you read the book? this movie is terrible. they simplified the story to the extreme, was just ugly and boring.

So I finally had some time to watch few movies so here it is:
Inglourious basterds - I just loved it. Some scenes were hard to watch but they weren't as horrible as I expected having Tarantino as a director.
Coco Channel - nice movie to watch.
My sister's keeper - so touching and beuatiful.
Dying young - with Julia Roberts and Cambpbell Scott. One of my favourites movies of all times.
Walkiria with Tom Cruise. It was alright.
Obssessed with Beyonce. It was ok. But the scene when Beyonce was fighting standing on a narrow piece of wood and wearing high-heel shoes was just blah.
International - didn't like it.
Now going back to work on Monday, I probably won't be able to watch anything 'till next holidays.

Haven't read the books, but my fiancée did (borrowed the books from her father), and she love the movie as well. But Mina, I think you really loved the LOTR-trilogy didn't you? The theatrical versions as well as the extended editions? The story in the books is way longer than the movies, so it's not fair to compare them. It's 2 different kind of mediums. What works in a book, doen't always work for a movie. And vice versa. I really think the movie Men Who Hate Women is a great great 3-hour movie. A kind of a German Krimi. And last weekend we watched the dvd Inglourious Basterds. Didn't know what to expect of the latest QT-movie. Didn't expect to be half German-spoken that's for sure! It's not gross or rude, it's not arty, it's... I don't know. Is it even Tarentino? I really liked the movie (my fiancee even recognized Mike Myers!!), but did it really had to be this long? It's def way better than Kill Bill 2, but I miss some catchy, memorable one-liners.

LOVED IB although i didn't have high expectations - since Kill Bill i'm not into Tarantino that much (part 1 really disapointed me, liked part 2). i can't wait to see it again
