I've just started Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy. I loved Tess of the D'Urbervilles so I hope this one lives up to it.

Every once in a while I read one of the short stories from Fragile Things (Neil) But I actually just started on The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison ( Beloved, Song of Solomon)zz Yes, that's that controverial book. We had to read it for one of my courses at school but I never got around to it, so now I'm trying again (not a book reader you know ) The chronicle of the tragic lives of a poor black family in 1940s America. Every night Pecola, unlovely and unloved, prays for blue eyes like those of her white schoolfellows. She becomes the focus of the mingled love and hatred engendered by her family's frailty and the world's cruelty.

{If you can't tell, I'm somewhat of a bookworm. It's rare that I'm in the middle of only one book.}

I'm almost done with The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara. Great book about the Battle of Gettysburg. Im a bit of a history buff, but the Civil War was one topic I always stayed away from, there's just sooooooo many books about it that I wouldn't know where to begin.
