BATMAN! I sure am! Apart from Katie Holmes, I loved Batman Begins. They did it so much better than the '90s movies. George Clooney as The Dark Knight? I think not, sir!

I haven't watched Batman Begins. but the pics I've seen of Heath Ledger as Joker looked so great (in a very creepy way) that I might go and see Dark Knight when it's out

^ I haven't seen Batman Begins either. But I grew up watching all the Batman movies(Michael Keaton ftw!), cartoons, partly because of my older brother. He's watched "Batman Begins" a million times. I'll have to watch it because I've grown interested in this "Dark Knight" since it's everywhere these days.

^ I've seen most of the older batman films too (on telly ) and I must say the castings for Batman were really not ideal I hope Christian Bale fits better.... but I've watched them more for the baddies anyway ;D The Riddler, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, The Joker.... they were so awesome! Jack Nicholson had the most perfect grin for the Joker! hopefully Ledger can keep up with him! the pics of him look pretty promising though! Reason for Editing: added piccies

Batman Begins RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULES. I highly recommend seeing this movie first before seeing the new one, 'cos no way in hell should you miss out on it. I am a HUGE Batman [fuck Spiderman and Superman... Batman is teh shitz.) fan and I never liked what they did with this character in films. Batman is such a mysterious and DARK persona, they never did him justice, untill Christian Bale came along. (I can never say a bad word about this guy. He's one of my fav actors. He lives his roles.) And so yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I can not wait!!! [/IMG] Oh and Heath Ledger AND Christian Bale in one movie, will make my panties wet, oh yes. [/IMG]
i agree with you about christian. he absorbes himself in his roles, almost to the point where it's kinda sick, but so so good. I don't think he's given enough credit as an incredible actor... but it's so clear that he's not in it for the fame or the money. I watched the beginning of Batman Begins and, oddly enough, couldnt get into it. I have trouble with Katie Holmes... She seemed like an odd match for him, and I don't consider her a hollywood beauty by any means... Tom Cruise can have her! AND i shall have to bring an extra pair of panties to the movies, as well

Oh yeah, Katie Holmes is deffo the weak link in the movie, and yes it's an odd choice, 'cos Katie and Christian aren't a match... BUT I overlook it tho... the movie is just SO good. And yes... my respect for Christian Bale is SKY high. What he did for 'The Machinist', is just outright crazy! Yes, almost sick. He had to gain weight and get muscles in under a year for the 'Batman Begins' movie. He went from this: to this, in under a year:

I LOVE the Burton Batmans. They are some of my favourite films. But I quite liked Batman begins although the script and plot werent fantastic and Katie Holmes sucked big time.
Will def be going too see this for the panty creaming alone ;D

Yeah, i rented the machinist because id heard he's lost tons and tons of weight for it, and i wanted to see for myself. it was horrifying, really. not to mention how disturbing the movie itself was. But well done, no less... I noticed christian for the first time in "the prestige" i lub that movie

^ I have Respect +1 for Mr Bale. It's not easy being Patrick Bateman, but like the book, during the movie you get into his head and think like him. That requires a craft which you just don't see in actors today (apart from Cate Blanchette and a few others). The same in the Machinist. Once you get over the first five minutes of his thinness, you get into his head. Bale made Batman Begins work.
The other Batman movies made Batman out to be some ridiculous cartoon character, like the '60s TV show (Boof! Bam! Kapow!), when in the comics and the good cartoons, he is actually a very dark, troubled man who sees the line between good and bad perpetually dissolving, something which both the writers of Batman Begins and Bale bought to the movie. I literally cannot wait for the Dark Knight to come out because IMO, this new series of Batman movies kicks complete ass (apart from Katie Holmes, who should be banished from the screen altogether, including all "Dawson's Creek" reunions and specials. No one cares that you ended up with Pacey and not Dawson, Joey.)
Did you know that they were going to get Jason Mewes (from Jay and Silent Bob) to play Batman? Imagine that! "I just need to get Batgirl to come back... so I can knock the bottom out, and git up in dem guts!"
Reason for Editing: I hate you, Katie Holmes. Pieces of April was Pieces of shit.

Just out of curiosity, do you include the original Batman in that? I thought that movie was awesome and even today think that it may be the best comic book movie ever. Tim Burton really brought a lot to the design and feel of the film. All that art deco and futurism, yum! Hell, my man Prince even did the soundtrack. It came out in '89 so you may have omitted it from your comment. The other 3 films are total crap though, I'll give you that. I really think that Jack Nicholson nailed the joker in the first film. Heath Ledger has a tough job to do trying to match up with a performance that many see as definitive by one of the all time great American actors. That said, I am really really looking forward to the movie. Batman Begins was a great reboot to the Batman franchise and I hope they keep it going.

Looking back, yes, a bit on the comic side, but over all very enjoyable.

I think Michael Keaton did an excellent job as well... i really have no problem with any of the other batmans. He is my fav superhero, way better than spiderman or superman (bleh) and the villains are 10x cooler, too. I mean.. Cat Woman just kicks ass.

No, I don't count the OG Batman in the same franchise as the ones from the '90s. It's in a class of its own. Prince is MY MAN, dammit! Batdance = brilliant. I suppose we can share his purple badness, headleg... he may be a tiny tiny man, but his ego knows no boundaries...
