Caro Emerald - Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor
New Dutch sensation. 15 weeks in the Dutch Album chart, 14 weeks number 1! It's jazzy pop like Duffy etc. but NO squeezed voice and it really swings like hell! YouTube her!!

Not bad at all, except for some scenes that look awefully cheap.

www.marinaandthediamonds.net/index1.shtmlThe sound quality on this site is not always great, but is a good source if you want to listen to her music (incl. videos and remixes and some great photographs!). And yes, she is hot too!

I guess you're a lucky girl with a ticket to see Marina! I hope there will be a second Dutch show right after het Amsterdam-show. By the way Mina, have you heard the Crown Jewels EP yet, with a great remix ánd acoustic version of I Am Not A Robot, plus a great song called Seventeen. And there are some really great remixes around these days. Esp. the Aspirin's For My Children Remix of I Am No A Robot (the beginning of the song could even be Tori!!). Other fine remixes can be found here: rcrdlbl.com/search/marina+diamonds

Millennium 2. Very chaotic, by far not as good as the first movie of this trilogy.
Komt Een Vrouw bij de Dokter, a really succesful Dutch movie last year (just as succesful as Avatar). But the movie is a little disappointment.
Paranormal Activity. A decent handheld-camera movie (like Blair Witch, Cloverfield, [REC]).

[*REC]2
Find out a week ago they made this movie a year ago! It starts off where REC stopped. It's a good horror. The story continues, but sometimes it's a deja-vu of #1, or just a useless by-pass in the story. Could have been better, more interesting story-wise. Just wait for [*REC]3.

I just got into her music. It sounds really warm and sweet and a bit dark. Not as great as Marina & The Diamonds (check out her album!!!), but better than Florence + The Machine IMO.
Her voice and music often reminds me of Heather Nova ( "Wilderness"!!!).

You should! It makes me really happy and sunny. Great great music. She should do some big festivals and not only tour the little venues (well, in June she will be playing Paradiso in Holland!! Big artists even released official live-cd's/dvd's recorded in Paradiso, Amsterdam).

I read an album review of the debut album of Marina & The Diamonds 4 days ago and it said it is the missing link between Lady Gaga on the one hand and Tori & Kate on the other hand. Amos and Bush I assumed So I downloaded the album The Family Jewels and her EP The Crown Jewels. And I was really surprised about how great it all turned out to be. She had released some singles before (I Am Not A Robot, Mowgli's Road, Obsessions and her latest single Hollywood), which you all should check them out on YouTube or on her own website www.marinaandthediamonds.comBut the album has a lot more great songs ("Girls" is my favourite popsong on it, alongside another fantastic song called "Hermit The Frog"). A little strange that this singer is still unknown in Holland.

Yes it is. Never heard of the movie until I saw a big pile of dvd's in Media Markt. This movie I saw this morning: It's really great pulp! Comic book-ish. It's British, it's hilarious and it looks great. And it looks like there will be a sequel to it also, something like "Gay Werewolf Killers" If you have humour in your veins, then you will like this movie. Last weekend I watched Jennifer's Body. Hilariously bad. A 'horror' movie full of clichés.

Thirteen. Have it on dvd for ages and finally watched it yesterday afternoon. Not bad at all.
9 One of the best animated movies I've seen! Very detailed. Cool story (but with a handful references to other movies unfortunately). Could be a great title for Blu-ray.

Movie distributors throughout Europe want to boycot this movie, because of the planned June/July dvd-release of the movie. And that is way too soon, so they plan not to show it in the cinemas. Luckily our local cinema has the movie in 3D (in in original AND Dutch-synced version).
I hope this will be a way better watch than Tim Burton's previous movie Sweenie Todd.
