I know this is terribly boring, but I rediscovered "Caught a Lite Sneeze", and it's been in the background of my mind through all these months.

So, if I voted for Oasis ten times, and for the Pumpkins ten times, and for Nirvana 1,000 times, what would it do to the poll, Teppic? ....if that's even your real name.

No, Storm was voted off last week. The house band that backs all the rockers throughout the contest (They're called "The House Band",) are going to open up for SuperNova on SN's initial tour, with all 12 (or 13?) contestants taking turns performing... much like the "American Idol" tour that happens after the show ends every year. So, she'll be "on tour" for awhile with the whole "Rockstar:Supernova" circuit, then (I guess) she'll go off to her solo career. No doubt she'll have a much brighter career now than she would've before. She's fronted Storm&Friends, Storm Inc., Storm and her Dirty Mouth, FlowerSF, and (most recently and up to date,) Storm and the Balls. She's VERY self-indulgent, but we all know from loving Tori that you can BE self-indulgent and still be compassionate, giving... "the cycle of the performer and the audience" is something that Tori talks about, the give and the take. Storm has that, and it is so rare to see that(what I see in her) in a performer. I'm not bi, but all I wanna do is either sing with her, kiss her, or have her hold me forever. She is big and tall and strong... but 100% woman.
***and that concludes (almost) MY rave about Storm***
RASPY! I love, *L*O*V*E* how you use this forum for good instead of evil!! I love how you let me share with you, and how you're not afraid to share with me. And I REALLY love how you seem to know just what to share, and when! You've turned me on to two AWESOME female artists in the last few weeks, and I don't know about you, but music enriches my life SO much, and I truly latch on to the artists without getting 8th-grade fanatical about it, you know? I haven't had hardly any exposure to Storm yet, but I recognize this stirring, allright, it's just a different thread of energy... something ELSE Tori talks about alot.
Whew! okay, and last but not least, the lyrics to "Ladylike" ...
(on "Rockstar", she sang the PG version of this song, "What the What is Ladylike", but the original version of course is a little.... well, more "Stormy":
"Ladylike"
I'm sorry about your girl Little center of the universe Axis turns the world And you need a jet to get to her Oh, the way she moves, attracts all kinds of focus From all over the room She smokes, not ladylike. She's not ladylike
Mister, mister, big and tall You take the world and spin it You don't fuck around at all, no You're in it, to win it Then you can get the gold And you go make some more So you can win the girl Cuz baby that's who you've been working for
She's big and she's proud And she knows what the world is about
(chorus x2) Hey, what the fuck is ladylike If ladies like to do what the fuck they like Just like you, yeah. Just like you. Look out man here comes another one
Well I'm so sorry about your wife She's up and off and running Going on with her own life Word to your mother She's stunning And there's a part of you That's just a little scared of her Axis turns the world And you need a jet to get to her
She's great and she knows How to wear the pants And the rest of your clothes
(chorus x2) What the fuck is ladylike If ladies like to do what the fuck they like Just like you, yeah. Just like you Look out man here comes another one
On my knees or on all fours From underneath Hear me roar
(chorus x2) What the fuck is ladylike If ladies like to do what the fuck they like Just like you, yeah. Just like you Look out man here comes
(repeat 7x) What the fuck is Ladylike!?

I am a seriously addicted Storm Large devotee now... dangerously close to "phile" levels... I encourage anyone who didn't see her on Rockstar:Supernova to go to YouTube (www.youtube.com) and type in her name... specifically her performance of "Ladylike"... altho' she had to PG the lyrics from "What the f***" to "What the what"... it's still a spank-yer-ass and send you to bed without dinner performance. She's so yummy.
oh... and if you do check her out on youtube, you may as well check out "I want you to Die", it's her and her band, the Balls... it's awesome. She totally takes this guy's cell phone away at the end of the song, because he's talking on it while she's performing. Reminds me of the "Hey lady in the white shirt" version of "The Waitress"... Is anyone else besides me as enthralled with this six-foot beauty as I am? She is so powerful onstage, without sacrificing any of her femininity. I've been checking out some of her original stuff on YouTube lately, and she is like the lounge-core/trance goddess of Portland, Oregon. I cannot wait to see her live.

(Did I get her name right? ) ...anyway, at this forum's suggestion, i checked her out on YouTube... there's only a couple of vid's there... couldn't help but notice that she sings in French.. ***of course because she IS French*** while i think she's the cutest thing ever (since Tori, of course), and I admire her enthusiasm onstage, i can't understand what she's singing!! I know alot of artists put music out in two (or more) languages, ie: Shakira, Gloria Estafan, Selina (just off the top of my head...) I don't suppose An sings anything in English, or that maybe there's quick interpretations to her songs anywhere, so at least I know what she's singing about?!

I love that "Travelin' Soldier" song. I get choked up every time I hear it. Here's a video someone made of the song, it's story clips from the movie "Pearl Harbor". Very touching! www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAx3p2icABw

well, obviously (if anyone besides me was even watching), Stormy didn't win, she got voted off last week.
ah well... she's from my hometown, and since I'll be moving back there in April, i plan on catching her live.
i highly reccommend going to YouTube and catching her original songs, whether it's her singing "Ladylike" on Rockstar:Supernova, or any of the boot legs of her in concert in Portland. She's awesome.

So I'm on the Storm Large website the other day (I wanted to see if I could find any decent pictures of her,) and saw that there was a forum there. I thought, what the hell, and I logged on and started surfing the posts. Lo and behold......Storm is from my hometown (Portland, Oregon), and her boyfriend is one of my old drinkin' buddies from the eighties/early nineties. His name is Davey, he also played for Everclear under the name Dave French for quite a while. He posts there too, under the name I knew him, Davey Nipples (he used to be in a band called the Sweaty Nipples in Portland)... Anyway, I'm really excited about it, because (wonders of wonders), he remembered me... even remembered who I was dating at the time. We exchanged a few Personal Messages at the site. He wants to buy me a pitcher when I move back to Portland next April... or was that, he wants ME to buy HIM one? LOL. anyway, I'm kinda excited, because not only did I find an old friend, but how cool would that be if I got to meet Storm, too, and maybe (!), eventually, the rest of Supernova if she were to win?! I'm a BIG fan of Jason Newsted, not just his Metallica days, but before that even, back in the eighties when he was with Flotsam and Jetsam. And well Tommy Lee is...
.... let's just say: I'll definitely spring for the whiskey.
Reason for Editting: trying to hurry so the boss doesn't catch me!
