I've been wearing glasses since 1994 and was thinking of finally trying out some lenses... not that I don't like my glasses or anything, but I'm curious about how I would look without my glasses. lol. But I'm also kinda scared, like I feel completely naked without my glasses and very insecure, mainly because I can't see chicken shit, but I also think you can tell that I've been wearing glasses for so long... anyone experienced the same thing or switched to lenses after wearing glasses a long time?

I switched to lenses a couple of years ago but I still wear my glasses most of the time. I mainly wear them when I'm at work (I work in frozen foods, so if I wear glasses they fog up all the time, lol), but other than that I still wear my glasses most of the time. When I got them, contact lenses were all I wore but I noticed that my eyes would get dry, so that's why I wear my glasses most of the time now. I recommend getting lenses 'cause they are pretty useful when you don't want to or can't wear glasses. But I recommend holding onto your glasses, at least to give your eyes a rest once in awhile.

i suffer from myopia since the age of 6 1/2, and tried lenses when i was 16. it truly changed my life! unfortunatly now my eyes have become sensitive (because of a bad use of lenses really) so i can't afford to wear them everyday like i used to 5 years ago. now i mostly wear glasses, which hurts me, and lenses on special occasions.
if you decide to wear some you must be careful not to wear them all the time and watch out for hygiene. i suggest trying out dialies - there are fabulous ones by CibaVision called "Aqua Comfort Plus" who keep your eyes hydrated all day. when i wear them, i can seriously feel the difference compared to regular ones. hope this helps!

Thanks guys... I deffo will keep my glasses, I wouldn't wear lenses all the time, I just thought to give it a try... I'm going to a lenses centre on Tuesday and see what we can do. I'm pretty excited, I wanna see how I look without glasses, I never really can see myself without glasses, I have to come way too close to the mirror, so can't tell, if that makes sense? I just hope I can stand them... Thanks for the tips, I'll keep you all posted.

Lenses + eyedrops = the way to go.
