Saw the lovely Sia live in London again last night. I was really so tired I didn't know how I would generate the energy to fully enjoy the gig but had a beer and everything was better. This makes no sense I know...
I visit Sia's message board now and then and there is a nice little community on there. Sia actually posts loads herself which is really nice I think! Anyway, ended up meeting a load of random board members at the gig (too many names and faces to take in properly really) but it was cool nevertheless.
Sia's set was fantastic as usual ;D She even played 'Distractions', a Zero 7 song and it sounded pretty lush performed by her band. Her between song banter is worth going to the gigs for alone - she's really kooky and funny. ;D
The final track 'Little Man' was acknowledged as being played as a request from message board members...
;D
So after the gig Sid and I hung around and had another drink as they were still serving. I go off for a wee and on my way to the toilets I bump into Sia, who recognises me (!) and we have a little chat! I also meet her new guitarist, Adam , who seems a really top bloke. Both Sia and I have to pee lol so off we go, I come out and now bump into Sophie Barker (Sia's backing singer and lead vocalist for some Zero 7 tracks e.g. 'In The Waiting Line', 'Passing By' etc)! Ended up having a good little convo with her too... and she's so nice! I wanted to meet her before but I suppose because she isn't as hyper & smiley as Sia I wasn't sure how approachable she would be.
So I'm pretty happy by this point and it gets better as I get a hug and a kiss from Sia before we leave
Heh, anyway obviously had a good night...
If you wanna hear a few songs or just find out who Sia is this page is really good...

"This is a sad song, so if you could all cry that would be great"
