The last time Oasis toured here I had never before been squashed between so many rowdy englishmen! Two of them jumped on their mate's shoulders, stood up and had no pants on! Ding-a-lings flopping about and all. I think I'm safer in the comfort of my headphones, but Teppic, I hope you get to see them together. Surely thier egos won't allow one to go on without the other.
Cheer up Charlie, you know we love you xxxx

Actually things seem to be getting a little serious right now... Liam's walked off the stage a few times, and had some pretty nasty arguments with Noel in front of the entire audience. The two of them just can't get on without having their mother to turn to to sort things out. Hopefully she'll bang their heads together once they get back here! As for them letting their egos get in the way, well two tours ago Noel quit a tour after having a fight with Liam (which may or may not have led to a fist fight, depending on who you hear the story from)... Oasis played the rest of their european tour with Matt Deighton (guitarist/vocalist with Mother Earth, and also guitarist on Paul Weller's Heavy Soul tour) replacing Noel. Noel came back to the band for their UK tour however. So we'll see. I'd like to think the stadium shows are important enough to them to make them get their act together, but they can be stubborn bastards when they want to be. And lest we forget the infamous televised 2nd Wembly Stadium show from the UK leg of the tour i just mentioned, where Liam 'forgot' they were playing there again the next night and took to the stage on zero hours sleep, a night's worth of alcohol, and proceeded to forget all his lyrics and caused the band to perform their "most embarrassing gig ever" (Noel's words). Hell i never listen to all the 'Oasis on brink of splitting' news stories, but after that even i was saying they were surely over. Of course luckily they weren't, which i guess at least shows there's always hope until they've admitted defeat. I'm sure all the UK shows will go ahead with all members present if not necessarily correct. I just hope Liam and Noel don't spend every night bitching at each other. And i do get the feeling both the brothers are being pulled towards solo careers... Especially since Oasis' record contract is now up.

I think Noel should go solo or similar. I've never really seen the point of Liam

Okay then, let me ask you this then: Which of the brothers recent side projects/collaborations was the most successful?
I'll give you a clue: It wasn't Noel's.
When The Stone Roses split everyone expected "the talented John Squire" would make the better solo music. Ian Brown was just the frontman who couldn't even really sing... Look how that turned out.
