Thank you ;D I'm a big fan of The Cure too, so I will be after footage of their performance in France (in fact I'm a big fan of Placebo too - If it hadn't been for the Floyd I would probably rather have been in Paris )

Dutch television just sucked. They did too much talking and where late with showing the artists on tv. They just finished the show and thén they showed it (partially). On the BBC it was live AND in widescreen! nope, for loving the floyd You get an extra karma for that Does anyone know where to get mp3s/avi/mpegs from Pink Floyds show?

It was amazing concert. I've never watched television for so long I watched all during 10 hours. It was like marathon I missed The Cure and Placebo too . I went to take a bath 'cause I wanted to see Pink Floyd and I thought that I would be on time before Robbie Williams finished singing but I didn't But anyway concert was amazing. Pink Floyd was just great also Paul Macartney and George Michael song, so funny I hated Black Eyed Peas or something like that (I don't know how they're called) but this girl is so annoying she's screams so much and she's so wild it's just one big chaos

GREAT!!! I wonder how they're doing now, since two of them left... I missed Placebo as well... it's a bit bizarre to see them as a trio, but they've been a trio before, right? i'm sure it'll be fine. hopefully they should still produce good music, if not better. btw you can watch clips on the AOL website ... it includes Placebo as well!

The Cure basically consists of Robert Smith and whoever happens to be around at the time. Some members have actually joined and left three times.

I haven't seen anything from the performances, due time issues. I only read some obnoxious things about some artists in the newspaper the other day. Made me so fucking angry. Madonna for example only wanted 'Kabbalah water'. Brat Pitt was pissed off 'cos he didn't have a private dressing room. Paul McC. wanted an extra dressing room so he could have a private party. The foods and drinks backstage were extravagant. Going from caviar to pink champagne. This made me bloody sick. And some artists wanted their expenses to be paid, eventho they agreed on coming for free. So what did Live 8 do? They give each artist a backbag filled with goodies, Madonna's backpag was worth over 10 000 euro's for example. So they didn't get paid for their performance, but they did bloody well get paid in natura. I can NOT understand how you can stand there in front of camera's hugging poor people and singing about peace, while backstage you're acting like a complete and utter dimshit. What a total BULLSHIT!!! Pffft... this really made me so dissapointed in these artists. What a total fraude. What a facade. I'm glad they only talked about 8 artists. They said that all the others behaved and even refused their backpags. Which I found so fucking cool.
