Just watched the amazing Velvet Revolver show for the second time (first BBC, then TV3). I'm waiting for Robbie Willams and one of the final acts the biggest band ever PINK FLOYDIt's their reunion, cause they haven't been playing in this main setting (Roger Waters AND David gilmour, with Nick Mason and Rick Wright. Syd Barrett was the first singer, but went totally nuts in the late 60s. Know one really knows where he lives now) since 1981! Have you downloaded this performance from the NPF website? if you haven't go here: www.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk/ you should still be able to download it. ;D

I have the LIVE8 performance on my DVD Recorder's hard drive, waiting to be burned onto DVD. I only wish they could have played a bit longer, but then given the nature of the event i pretty much got what i expected. It was just really cool to see them all together, i was beginning to think it was something i'd never get to see. I think the sign someone had at the front summed it up pretty well: "Pigs can fly - Pink Floyd togther again!". Or words to that effect. Don't think i'll be getting the official release of the LIVE8 DVD tho. I went through all the tv coverage and recorded any performances or interviews i was interested in and it only added up to about 30mins of footage. And on the subject of LIVE8... It was weird being at the Oasis Manchester Stadium gig that day. They broadcast the show on the big screens inbetween all the support bands, and the crowd were constantly reacting at whatever was being shown. Coldplay got booed badly enough for them to turn the sound almost completely off - until Richard Ashcroft joined them, at which point a big cheer went up and the volume was quickly raised while the crowd sang along. ;D U2 got a relatively good reception (weird cos the when Bono was briefly shown on the screen in the "Make Poverty History" video on the big screens just before the first Manchester Stadium gig, he got the biggest boo of the night). Travis got a good reception as is usually the case with Oasis fans, and everyone was singing "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?" as if the band were actually on the stage. ;D Nobody seemed to give a rats arse about Stereophonics...lol. Needless to say a certain guy by the name of Robbert wasn't shown to the crowd tho. It was a really weird experience watching LIVE8 in a stadium of sixty-something thousand people. Cool, but weird.

Yes, I have the show from PF at Live8. I had it like 1 or 2 days later. I put it on my Freecom MediaPlayer (a 80GB harddisk connected to the tv/stereo) so I can watch the entire show whenever I want to. But I can try to download it from the NPF-site and compare the quality. Thanks btw

7 November is the day the 4DVD-set of Live8 will be released! Check out www.live8livedvd.com or forum.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=9348 for tracklists and other info. The complete shows from a lot of artists are present (Paul McCartney, U2, Madonna, RW, Pink Floyd....). Too bad only 1 song from Velvet Revolver will be on (I saw the whole show and it was really amazing. Duh, the bigger part of the band is GN'R). Can't wait to have those dvd's
