V - two sites simultaneously (Midlands and near London), very corporate, mainstream acts (but relatively eclectic with in that) Reading/Leeds - also two sites simultaneously, tends to stay very much around the '5 blokes being quite noisy with guitars' type bands (I'd expect Muse to be headlining) Also we have Isle Of Wight which they are currently announcing (Placebo/Prodigy/Goldfrapp already on there - although more interestingly I'm hearing rumours of Lou Reed.) Then there's the big heavy rock festival, Download, which occurs near nottingham. Metallica on the Saturday and G'n'R (or 'Axl Rose and friends') on the Sunday. The Friday tends to be a little lighter and Tool are expected as headliners so I'll do a day ticket if they do them. There's a also quite a lot of more 'series of gigs' type events rather than festivals this year (e.g. Wireless). I think the Foo Fighters and The Stokes are doing a couple together for a start. Also there are a couple of good-sounding festivals in Scotland (eg T in the Park) but they always sell-out like yesterday. Anyway, I'll shall keep everybody informed while I make a decision ;D (N.B. alledgedly Radiohead are headlining V - bloody corporate whores, what the hell do they think they're playing at!?!?)

and G'n'R (or 'Axl Rose and friends') on the Sunday. If... IF... IF... Axl can be bothered to turn up. Who knows - he may end up with a plastic surgery appointment on that day. It's like he's trying to turn into the Michael Jackson of rock!

Well, I would recommend 'ROCK WERCHTER', a very big Belgian festival. Two years ago, this festival got the award of best festival of the world. They released some names a week ago, looking pretty impressive so far... lots of people I would like to see actually. Go here to see who's coming so far: www.rockwerchter.be/rw2006/splash_06.aspRed Hot Chili Peppers Depeche Mode dEUS Placebo Anouk Live Tool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooverphonic Franz Ferdinand Robert Plant Ben Harper Sigur Ros Eels Goldfrapp Editors Arsenal An Pierle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... Damn, if only Tool and An Pierle would be on one day, I would SO be there. There will be more names soon, as the ticket sale date starts on the 18th of March. And if you want to be there, you'll have to get your tickets asap, 'cos they sell out in no time! We should do an Afterglow festival weekend... rock werchter rocks... very nice festival. Nice atmosphere!

Well, I would like to go again yes definately! Last year I went with my bro and Evelien (Vampire Bat Bite Girl), but altho we had a nice time together, I think it's nicer to go in a bigger group, you know.? So yeah, would prolly go if more people would go too. Think it would be really cool. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE festivals!!! My parents took me to festivals since a baby.

well about Werchter. I ABSOLUTELY WANNA GO THIS YEARI think my parents won't think it's a problem, because I'm almost 15 in the summer, so And there are many friends who will go too. So I think It would ROCK ROCK ROCK soooooo hard when we can go there with a big afterglow group. I mean, I would be so happy if we do that, because then I defenitly go, without a doubt. And the artists (SO FAR!!!) who will come to Werchter are soooo good.

Actually I was looking at the Werchter site the other day. I take it we don't know who is playing on what day yet? No, not yet... There's just a list up with the artists so far. But I'm sure they'll put the calendar up in the beginning of March, 'cos the tickets will go on sale somewhere in March so...

Just going with the UK festivals, Wireless in London's Hyde Park seems to have turned in a proper festival without me noticing. Might go for a day (perhaps Saturday, assuming I can arrange for James Blunt to be assassinated beforehand.)
