I finally managed to meet Damien yesterday...
First time, pure pure chance... I was walking to the front of the venue, and suddenly a side door open and Damien same out of the blue. It took me like 5 secs to recognise him!!!! I called his name and he turned, did a handshake, then I asked him if he could play Fool or Insane (long shot) and he said Maybe (meaning no), then I told him I'm from Barcelona, and he said, wow, that's a long way, and then said he had to go...
The show itself was great. He was not very talkative and the show was too damn short, 14 songs, but great. Safe selist so no big surprises, was like a Greatest Hits gig, he did Volcano, Cannonball, I remember and The blower's daughter in a row!!!!
Then with my friend we waited after the gig, we were 20-30 people in total. He came after 45 min and he didn't sign or do pictures but he talked with us for a while, my friend asked him for a hug, and then I said, me too!! he ended up hugging everybody I think!!!!
Then he ask where were people from and asked if there was anyone from somewhere unusual and I said I'm from Barcelona, and he said, ah yeah, but did you come alwl the way for the show? and I said, No I live here... Then I askim him if he's gonna tour again the US later in the year and he said they're gonna do LA in September for sure!!!!!! so you know!!
