Laura Veirs... I love Vega's music, but I don't like her as a person.

^Isn't that almost the same thing??? Isn't Racounteurs a White Stripes-spin off with only Jack Black??? Anyway, I prefer The White Stripes!!!!!!!!!! next: Robbie Williams vs Justin Timberlake? ?

^ No it's not the same thing... it's no spin off. It's a musical project. The band consists out of artists from various bands; they're all friends, all from Detroit, Jack White's (not Black ) home ground. You should check 'em out... LOVE the album. And I'm not gonna choose between those two. NEITHER. Reason for Editing: *insert puke smiley*

Frank Zappa Vs Captain Beefheart?

Oh wow, can we just cop out and say that "Willie the Pimp" was one of the greatest moments in music, and leave it there? I mean Zappa and Beefheart together in their prime (with a young Jean Luc Ponty as a bonus...before the electric violin took away his soul).
Eh...if I have to choose...I go Zappa because of his singular guitar brilliance and the decades of amazing live shows.
how about...

Siouxsie and the Banshees or The Cure

Another tough choice, but I will give it to The Cure as I feel that they were more consistent. Siouxsie and co. have had some rather sub-par albums over the years.

No way! Disagree with you there. Besides, the Cure is pretty damn boring live. For the time being, I'll have to go with the Pet Shot Boys cuz they make me dance and make me happy!(and I love their tunes of course) Joy Division or Depeche Mode
