But I was so shocked by what I read. I have been apart of that forum since it started and have had no trouble from mycloud. But the people who are speaking about this are trustworthy and I believe everything they have said. It is too big of a coincidence not to. I just wanted to let everyone here know in case they had any problems with his conduct. I had no idea this was going on and I feel duped. Again, not making any judgements, take what you wish of this. |

As a result of my Wife currently struggling with Cancer, I have not been active on either site, and thus, was totally unaware of this.
I have always been one who refuses to join a "Bandwagon" of condemnation of another. It is probably a part of my fate to incur the wrath of others by trying to defend someone, when others are so dead set against them. (I have often found myself going from being popular to unpopular very quickly for being all too willing to stick up for someone, that the crowd had decided to ostracize - must be my fate in life.)
Although I have never personally met "MyCloud", I can tell you that Mycloud (Rich) has asked for my address and has very generously sent me CD's and DVD's, etc.. Since I am not Female, (Certainly not a young Girl) he clearly did not have any ulterior motives in doing that for me - other than simply doing me a kindness.
I have had others both Male and Female ask my address and send me CD's and DVd's as well. I have also done the same thing, by asking both Women and Men on the other Tori site, for their address to Send them CD's, DVD's, etc... And I can assure you I certainly had no ulterior motive other than to try and do something nice for someone. However, after reading what has happened to "MyCloud for doing this, I will definitely be very reluctant to do anything like this for someone in the future - seeing how easily such an act of kindness could be Mis-interpreted.
Without naming the individual, there is one particular person on the other Tori site, who seems to have created a Clique. It all began with this person sending private messages to various Women telling them to band together and ostracize anyone deemed undesirable. This person created a code "7 Hurricane." The idea was that if someone was deemed undesirable, they would use this code, as a signal to others to simply ignore the one now deemed as undsirable - regardless of their posts, subjects, responses to Posts, etc - until they left the site. This person seems to have a strong hold on those who have decided to join up - so to speak.
While I am sure this person only had the best of intentions, it doesn't take rocket science to realize how such a process could easily evolve into a control group where anyone who doesn't seem to fit in, could easily have their actions Mis-interpreted.
At any rate, barring some kind of proof, I am not yet ready to join the ranks of those who would so easily condemn MyCloud.

^ Steve, I´m so glad you decided to come forward with this. Ofcourse, I was first very shocked after reading those things about Mycloud. But since he has always been very kind and respectful towards me, I find those accusations very hard to believe. I´m very sorry that he decided to leave, but after that kind of accusations I totally understand it.

this is not about asking for adresses to send cds to.
this is about stalking girls on the internet.
a grown man is asking for pictures, as well as addresses, from, especially young girls, girls, that are young enough to be his daughters.
I know this because I was one of those girls.

Just a suggestion:
Any of our forum activities that include giving out our addresses to participate should only be placed under the password protected board section. That way it would keep all of us a little safer.

I just find it hard to believe. However, Jessie's suggestion is a good one. That way it will prevent not only someone from doing what Mycloud is accused of, but also prevent anyone from ever being falsely accused, as well.

For the activities we organise, we share addresses through pm only (the activity organiser asks members to send addys through pm and then adresses are sent again through pm to each participant)
And in a case like MyCloudn he had the password to the POYC section
So i don't see what it changes
Email addresses can be seen in your profiles if you define it so...so i would suggest to make email addys invisible there for people who feel unsafe

Hello all, I am new here, and know a little bit about this so I hope you don't mind if I give my opinion.
I was a member at toriamos.com for quite a while and know people who were contacted by mycloud for personal details. Sometimes this was to send a CD, sometimes it was to ask for a photo. Some of those contacted refused to send what was asked of them, saying that they were uncomfortable with giving out personal details. At this, mycloud got agressive and defensive in turns, trying to bully some of them into agreeing to what he required.
Clearly this is not acceptable behavior. If a person doesn't want to give out their details that is up to them. It is also highly inappropriate for him to have asked for photos, especially when this kind of contact was unsolicited. Anyone else think it strange he only contacted female members asking for photos?
This is even worse when some of the members are underage. Mycloud is 60 - at least one of the members he asked for a photo is under 20.
Also, 7hurricane is a new member whom no-one has met before. I still go to that site and know for a fact it isn't anyone who was already a member there. The further insinuation that a clique has formed at that site to ostracize some members is without basis and objectionable to members of that site.
Mycloud has also performed in this way at other sites - it just so happens that this is the most recent case. He has been banned from other sites for similar behavior.

All I can add o this topic is
1) It's really sad that all this is happening on and spreading to the otherwise really drama-free Afterglow - despite if it's true or not.
2) It's kind of strange that a number of posts with a negative attitude are made by posters that seems to have registered only with the purpose to post in this discussion.

I agree with Thomaz completely.
We are open to welcome any new member with open arms but we don't want new members to only register here to bring the drama from other sites over here. We want the afterglow to be drama free
As far as the afterglow is concerned, Rich is gone and has deleted his account so i think there's no more discussions to be had for the moment.
The mods and admins will decide together what to do if he decides to come back.
If that thread turns into drama, we will lock it.

Oh, jeez... let's be frank here for a minute. It's INTERNET people, don't get yer panties in a knot. People lie and do crazy shit. It's his word against theirs and visa versa. Ya know what, I don't appreciate people signing up here, just to stir things up, we do NOT want your opinion, 'cos we do not know you. I know this sounds harsh, but how can we know what you're saying is real? The smallest kids already know not to give your addy out to people you don't know, so don't do it. Ditto for pictures.
I want the shit started there, to stay THERE. I don't appreciate people bringing it over to our home here, I appreciate Rich for stepping up and to try to prevent it. Thank you.
Secondly, if ANY real member on the 'Glow has been harrassed by Rich, please PM me.
I'm gonna close this thread now, got better things to do on my Sunday.
