I have had a record, a tape or a CD on at night as I sleep since I was a young boy and still to this day. Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd were my faves back then but now it the beautiful piano and voice of Tori Amos. She has been my obsession for the last 5 years. I have all of her songs on CDs and they have all given me a great night sleep over the years. The cd is played on repeat all night and if I do wake up she puts me back to sleep with one song. Do any of you do this while you sleep? If you do, what band or singer do you listen to between the click of the light and the start of the dream?

For the last 2 weeks I've been listening to Tori live from Brussels, Belgium, 6/12/'05 Sent to me while I was on another Tori forum. An audience recording, far enough back to muffle the sounds of screaming fans, but close enough to hear Tori sing and hear the piano and hammond. 15 songs on this show plus 2 encores with 2 songs each. They are on 2 CDs. One of my fave shows from '05, I hope Saar and her friends were there so they can tell me about it.

i can't listen to music while i'm falling asleep because i know the lyrics, so I cannot concentrate on sleeping.. I do always have my tv on always, just to have something random to fall asleep to

i just listen to satellite radio love songs. It sounds corny i know, but i enjoy the element of surprise. Tori's in my heart...so i understand why you sleep to her music and voice. She floats me to space...and i don't want to sleep there!

yes it was a great show...the only low point was the bad sound at some point during the concert but otherwise, it was amazing And we got to the meet & greet. it was my first time talking to T so i was on cloud 9 for a week after that

I also share my sleep with the magical Kate Bush. I have many Kate CDs. She takes me to a different place than Tori does, but still a beautiful place.

i agree with mycloud on Kate Bush. I spent a long time just listening to her. I remember she was all i could listen to for a long time...nothing else made sense. Definately a differant place.

She is so big in the UK where she is from, and I know very few here in the States that know of Kate Bush. It's sad she was not big here. Those of us who love and listen to Kate and feel her music, are a special breed. I'll be watching the Kate Bush ; Under Review DVD later tonight, and A Sky Of Honey as I sleep on repeat. Time for a change from Tori, time for a little Kate.

If any of you like Kate a little and would like to learn more, I suggest looking for the Kate Bush, Under Review DVD. A 75 min film reviewing the music and career of one of the world's most unique female artist.

Oh i Love Kate Bush....in fact ,it took some convincing f or me to go see Tori; I was into Kate and she was The Goddess and i had no use for anything else. I had never really listened to Tori. But the first time i saw Tori...i was just completely blown away. I immediately made the switch!...BUt i still Love Kate...especially "Hello Earth"...and my fav "Under The Ivy"...There are so many...But there's something about "Under The Ivy"...like there is that "Place" you speak of...But not the same as Tori...not even close
