I've listened to two songs now and she really reminds me of 'Jewel', but then like 1000 times better... Like her voice; the vibrating bit... I dunno if I make myself clear... I really like her tho. *downloads some more*

Glad you like Carrie so far, Sarah . Of those songs up on her site, I like 'Maya' best. I think it's so beautiful, especially when you hear it live. Apparently Carrie wrote part of it underwater Er... yeah not sure how but that's what she tells audiences at her gigs! At the moment she is working on her first album with a producer called Dave Meegan who has also worked with Marillion, New Order, U2 etc. Carrie has leant her voice to some backing vocals for Marillion's new album 'Marbles' which, I think is how she got to know Dave Meegan. Anyway, be interesting to hear how it turns out! Currently there are just two EPs available (sold at her gigs): 'Sketching Tides' and 'Complete Faith'. She does have quite a few other songs though and does some lovely cover versions such as 'Glory Box' (Portishead), 'Hallelujah' (Leonard Cohen & latterly Jeff Buckley) and 'A Case Of You' (Joni Mitchell). Last year Carrie supported Damien Rice for a few live shows which opened a lot of doors for her. If I remember this right, he saw her playing on one of the small stages at Glastonbury and was so impressed he personally invited her on tour

Another pic of Martha, just for the sake of it... It was taken at the Peace Not War festival in London in February earlier this year. Incidentally, Martha and Carrie are friends. I got to know about them both through an monthly acoustic night at a venue called The Grey Horse in Kingston near where I live in London. The organisation which sets up all the shows is Wupa Dupa (hence the photos on the first post). Have a look at www.wupadupa.com and if you check on the 'artists' section you'll see mention of Martha, Carrie and also Semble. They are another great live act and have collaborated with both Martha and Carrie. Think you'll probably remember I mentioned them before?
