Ok... Just thought it would be cool to recommend each other good books.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are mine:
Lately I'm very into this writer: 'Tracy Chevalier'. She writes 'historic novels'. They're about real historic events, but she makes a fictive story about it. One of her most well known books 'Girl With A Pearl Earring' was filmed. The film was very nice. But I prefer the book.
Tracy Chevalier always makes me wanna read read read read... lol! She writes so amazingly and it's very easy to read. Plus you learn something from a certain era in history, but it's not boring, 'cos you learn it thru lovely stories.
Tracy has written 4 books. I bought 'Girl With A Pearl Earring' first. (In English, I bought them all in English. They English is really easy. She writes amazing. Very fluently and colourful). Fell in love with her writing and decided to buy all her books. My mum is reading them all as well and she's in love with it too.
Titles:
- Falling Angels:
- The Virgin Blue:
- A Girl With A Pearl Earring:
- The Lady And The Unicorn:
I've read 'A Girl With A Pearl Earring' (is about the painting of the painter 'Johannes Vermeer), 'Falling Angels' (is about two families, mostly about the women, during the time of the 'suffragettes'... (upcoming of the women rights.) and now I'm reading 'The Lady And The Unicorn'... (it's about a designer of tapestries in the Middle Ages. I've only read about 20 pages and I love love love it!!!) I still need to read 'The Virgin Blue'... but my mum is currently reading them...
Anyhow, if you like 'historic' novels, then these are surely recommended!
