I'm currently addicted to the 33 1/3 series. They are a collection of books, each one dedicated to a classic album of the rock era. I just finished: The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses and started: If You're Feeling Sinister by Belle and Sebastian So many great albums to choose from! And Boys For Pele comes out later this year...

I read PJ Harvey's Rid of Me version of that series. It's such a weird book. I think I have to read it again. It left me kind of confused. I read it in about an hour. I'm really looking forward to the Boys for Pele version

Neil Gaimans - American Gods (you can find the e-book •here• Whut?!?! Did they put up the whole book? for free?!?! I'm generally not a fan of e-books (too uncomfortable ) but I might give this a try! I haven't read anything by Gaiman so far, well except the book he did together with Pratchett, but I always wanted to, so I think I'll start with this one. thanks for the link!

I just finished reading Dandelion Wine, by Ray Bradbury. It's about an eventful, magical summer in a pre-adoloscent boy's life in northern Illinois. I was struck by how lyrical, poetic, and reverent it was, for a writer known mostly for science fiction. At first I was afraid it would be "too wordy" for me and I wouldn't be able to get into it, but I really enjoyed it!

I`m reading Stephen King`s The Stand. Planned to spare it for my summer holiday but couldn`t. It`s one of the few of his books I haven`t read yet. I watched the TV-series based on it looong time ago but luckily have forgotten the most of it

On vacation I finally read 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'... I'm still in shock that the story is now finished. But I also heard that there are plans for an 8th book, does anybody here knows more about that?

Do you mean that 800-word prequel what she wrote for auction? There`s was only one copy and it dealt with the time before Harry was born. You can read the prequel here www.waterstoneswys.com/ J.K has also mentionad that there probably will be an encyclopaedia of the Harry Potter world. But the actual story ended along the Deathly Hallows..
