Hanna, it is ok that you can't stand him. I don't care. But I feel like you are just aggressively offending and provoking here. So I better stay out of this discussion, because I have no interest in something like this.

H E H ?Okay so i untactfully used the word 'shallow', PLEASE FORGIVE ME ALL YOU AFTERGLOWERS FOR HAVING SO BRUTALLY OFFENDED THEE... Is it impossible to say i just don't like the guy without getting judged? And YES i would prefer listening to Britney's Toxic to that song. May i not be judged please? It's not like i judge people who listen to James Blunt's music. Damn. Let's move away from this kindergarten cat conflict shall we? ;D I didn't know it was gonna take these proportions.

Devendra Banhart - I feel just like a child OMG! He is my new Anti-Hero-Hero. ;D Such a wicked hippie. I mean, this clip is so funny, first you see him dancing with naked torso, very rock 'n' roll and then the camera has full perspective and he is dancing in his underwear. That's just so hilarious. I would like to check out other things he did. I like the song! He has an interesting voice (recorded very 70ties). Has anyone ever listened to his music? What I read so far...he seems like a very interesting, freaky person. ;D

Andrew has all his albums!!! He likes him a LOT. I watched a couple of videos when he was over last time... lol, pretty crazy indeed... it's like you step back into the 60'ies - 70'ies! ;D Oh and yep, I like his music. Dunno if I could listen to a whole album tho... but it's pretty cool nonetheless. Reason for Editting: oepsie

I read that his parents followed an indian Guru and that's why he has this name. I guess that also explaines the animal-titles of his songs.
Ah, I can't wait to get the album!

The albums are (in order of first to last): (*takes a deep breath for this first album title...*)- 'Oh Me Oh My... the Way the Day Goes By the Sun Is Setting Dogs Are Dreaming Lovesongs of the Christmas Spirit' (2002)
(*grasps for asthma inhaler...*)
- The Black Babies [EP] (2003)
- Rejoicing In The Hands (Of The Golden Empress) (2004)
- Nino Rojo (2004)
- Cripple Crow (2005)
If you've only heard stuff from Cripple Crow then it's important to realise that everything he's released previous to this new album was recorded totally live via really crappy quality ways, such as battered tape recorders, answer-machines, dictaphones, and basically whatever was to hand to capture the moment... ;D So the sound quality on anything other than Cripple Crow is waaay below anything even near studio quality. I don't think there was much (if any) messing around trying to clear up the sound quality before the official releases either, so you need to expect that it'll have all the sound problems associated with tape - there's some major sound distortion going on in some songs. I don't know if that would be annoying for you Julia, since you're much more musically trained than most people. Personally for me it's all part of the charm - the guy just traveled around and as soon as he felt the time was just right he'd record the song no matter where he was and what noises were in the background... ;D And he refused to go into a studio and polish the soul out of these beautiful little songs - in this day and age it takes some serious balls to release music so rough and naked. I do like Cripple Crow a lot, tho i haven't had chance to listen to it much after the first play-through. It was certainly nice to hear his voice and guitar so clearly, and i think he managed to get a good balance between good sound quality without losing the rawness of his earlier stuff. But my personal fave is Nino Rojo, which ironically was never supposed to be a proper album - it's just the stuff he had left over from Rejoicing In The Hands, but i personally think the Nino Rojo songs are even better. He also sings quite a few songs in spanish (especially on Cripple Crow). Spanish was his native language until he was about 8 if what i've heard is correct, at which age his family moved to the US and he had to learn to speak english. So he records the song in whichever language feels right. It's really cool. He's a total nutter, but in a good way, and well worth checking out. Also, if you ever get the chance, check out his 1 song appearance on 'Later...' If you get to see that entire episode then even better, as he can be seen actually getting up and dancing his arse off during other band's songs - so much so that you can see the musicians in the other bands looking over at him the entire time. And the entire time he wore this massive red poncho (both during his performance, and during the dancing) with a hood so deep that all you could see was his beard. Throughout the entire episode of Later, you just keep seeing this red poncho bouncing around as he dances away... ;D

Yep, I noticed that with the Spanish titles. He lived in Caracas, Venezuela.

I just watch Robbie Williams' new video for his upcoming nr.1 hitsingle "Advertising Space" at www.whatsyourfuture.com (Insane section). The video is amazing with Robbie dressed up as Elvis (where the song is about) and you even see Pricilla as a mannequin-doll! It's the best song from his amazing new album Intensive Care. Now it's about time the Yankees give in to Robbie!
