I really like 'Minority Report' too. I only saw it by accident and was very surprised.

Kirsten Dunst is very good in Eternal Sunshine, actually.

Marie Antoinette has FINALLY come out in the UK i think, although it may be a couple of weeks before I get to see it.
As for Kirsten Dunst, I have 6 words for you: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Anyway, reading the plot summary almost had me snoring as it's all "A loves B, but B really loves C, not knowing that C really loves D...". It's almost as bad as reading about an episode of Gilmour Girls. I can *absolutely* assure you the plot is non-standard Actually, in a similar vein, I've just come back from seeing 'Little Miss Sunshine', which shares with Matchpoint a non-standard plot line and a total refusal to romanticise the world. 'Little Miss Sunshine' has more gags though

Last film I saw was Hero. Visually stunning, but I'm not sure I quite got it. May have to watch it again (admitedly I did almost drop off half way through.) Also, not enough Ziyi Zhang.

Yea at first i had the same reaction as Scarlett's, i was like "Heh? No way this can be good..." but i thought it was a really quite well made modern interpretation in the end, not that bad at all... And yesssssssss, Claire Danes What a face. Have you seen her in It's All About Love and Igby Goes Down Cheapie?? ( ) Romeo + Juliet gets better as it goes along I think. It may be melodramatic, but the final scenes really get to me...and then of course we get Radiohead's 'Exit Music', officially my fave song. I think the fast-cutting and over-the-top direction gives the thing a slight fantasy/other-world feel, so mixing the traditional dialogue with modern settings seems just part of that to me. Claire Danes started off in the fantastic My So-Called Life, which in my opinion pretty much kicks the ass of any TV show ever. 'Igby Goes Down' is great too. As for 'It's All About Love'...that's just bloody weird!

OK, I suppose I'll let you off not liking Johnny Depp as you like Claire Danes In another Hanna-related event, the last film I saw was 'The Good Girl', which was actually rather good.

She doesn't kill herself at the end of La Pianiste - she tries to (being a bit melodramatic like that) but fails. As it follows on from Hanna (being a Sandra Bullock film), I should say the last film I saw was 'Demolition Man' on TV ;D ...and the next film I'm going to see will probably be 'Crash' on DVD (the one about people having sex during car crashes, not the recent one )

To be completely random, I've just been watching a DVD of the early '80s mini-series Harry's Game.

La Pianiste
(which wasn't anything like as disturbing as I expected, but is pretty affecting at the end)
