ps : i always sound offensive though hehehe me too! just last night my parents told me i am a snobbish little witch, i guess they might have a point.. we were in the car and my dad had this classical music station on, which i don't mind at all. but then they stared playing this wiered samba beat thing, and i really hate samba stuff... so i said something kinda nasty (shooting my mouth off as usual...) and then my folks just got pissed at me and my dissrespect for that music but i guess everyone feels like that about some kind of music, i know how bugg just can't get enough of miss. britney ;D

Some people would argue that bands like Oasis and Blur were the pioneers of indie. True or not they are the two biggest (British) names in that genre. I'm sure indie has a different meaning to everyone so heres mine- Predominantly whiney vocaled guitar driven music, not heavy enough to be grunge but not light enough to be folk. Elements of rock n roll cliché with a lot of though behind it. I thought that was rather generous as I'm not a fan of indie! but i was under the impression that pj harvey is indie

i really love the early 90s, too bad i didn't appriciette (spelling i know...) it back then i was about 6 years old mind you... but whenever "so 90s" is on, no-one is aloud to speak to me ;D , though when i see it, i realise that i had blocked out all the crappy music in the 90s too, and that's good, the body's way of healing i would have loved to be back in the early 90s now, so i could see p.j. and tori playing in israel (my dream!!!). i did manage to wake up from chilhood early enough to catch bjork in a show here in 1996, i was the youngest person there (11 yrs. old) and i was AMAZING!!!!!!! being small helped out alot too.... everybody let me cut through, they were really nice, not like in other shows i went to...

hehehe...... i'm always first to reply, need to get a life one of these days... i didn't have much music around the house growing up, my falks arn't that young... they're past 50 now (but i'm the youngest). i played recorders from age 6 so i started out with classical.i was actually increadibally good, and was suppossed to have a real future in it, but i didn't wan't it... started piano along with recorders age 9. quit age 12 (i sucked). i also tap danced 7 years, so rythem i guess... i started listening to music around age 11, everything i did was influenced by my sister. so i started out pretty bad, like she did... take that, east 17... but then still age 11 my sis introduced me to bjork, and we went to her show (along with our daddy) . that's when i started to realize how great music can be. i got into bjork alot, skunk anasie, k's choice for a while, garbage for a while... and later on tori and pj. i also started the violin and quit recorders at age 13. now i'm reallt pretty good at violin, but i'll never be great like i could have been on recorders. i don't really care, i hate performing, and love playing just for the fun of it. my next musical challenges are radiohead and bob dylan. i think i've written quite enough now ;D

AND I ADD FECKING ALANIS!!!! How could i forget her!!!! ?? I swear to god, i will piss on her head when i see her! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D hehehehe!!! Never could understand why Tori toured with Alanis! oh yes! her voice has that "janis from friends" thing going on... yuck! she's a nice enough person i guess, but her voice is really annoying. and she tries to squize in so many fucking words into one song, i can't make out half of them when i hear a song on the radio(that's another one of those things that make me go "hmmmmm........." ).

This goes a few years back but that one chick from the band "Four Non-Blondes". I hear that song every now and then over the P.A. at work and it makes me want to stick my head in the garbage disposal. i like her voice... it's nice and raspy
