lol, laugh at me, but i am going to the marilyn manson concert in december, always wanted to see him live, eventhough i didn't really like his last two albums. but some stuff of him is just amazing.. Not especially a fan of Marilyn Manson but his live act I think would be probably be worth seeing at least once if just for visual entertainment! On this note and tied in with my current Goldfrapp obsession, did you know Goldfrapp and Manson have done a track together? Well sort of! This is the one! Try this link Marilyn Manson - This is the New Shit (Goldfrapp Remix - Full Version New Outro)

Got my ticket for Lamb on Nov 7th now! Hopefully I can still go to Moloko and I can get a standing ticket before they all sell out! I can't be in seats for a gig!

Here are a few gigs I want to go to in the near future...
7th November 2003 Lamb @ Hammersmith Apollo
22nd November 2003 Moloko @ Brixton Academy
27th November 2003 Radiohead @ Earls Court
26th March 2004 Zero 7 @ Brixton Academy
Are any of you people going to any of these or would maybe like to??? I should be able to still get tickets for all of them except Radiohead though I have seen plenty of standing tickets on eBay for fairly reasonable prices!

Yes, luckily they are a lovely down to earth bunch. I've met them all a few times at various festivals and gigs and they have never once been rude or obnoxious. I guess when you have been doing the circuit for over 13 years you kinda realise that your fans are important! Magic Dirt's earlier work was very raw, emotionally charged rock with lost of feedback and extortion. They are progressing more into rock/pop now but their melodies are to die for. They put on such a brilliant live performance, so much energy and passion . Adalita's singing style has been likened to PJ Harvey's & Chrisse Hynde amoung others. They as a band have been aligned with Sonic Youth alot (and supported them on a previous Oz tour).. And yes, Adalita is one sexy diva!! (ps, I have posted in this section a thread dedicated to them with photos and links to MP3s.. you should be able to find it under Magic Dirt wink wink, nod nod! Thanks Leewah! Well I downloaded a load of random Magic Dirt tracks from Soulseek so now I just have to find which is from which album and sort them out! I'm a bit annally retentive like that Should get around the listening to them soon! Oh btw I saw this one picture of Adalita and, Jesus, how much does she want to look like PJ in the 50ft Queenie vid I think you know the one?!

Hopefully I'm going to see Polly Jean at the Tate this Monday (where's my feckin' ticket?!! ) Then on October 28th I'm off to Hammersmith Apollo to see Goldfrapp. Allison Goldfrapp is a real feisty one, I would like to meet her but I think she might be an enormous bitch to me I want to see Radiohead at Earls Court in November but after Eden Project I am very poor and can't afford a ticket now. Also there is a possibility I will be in the USA during November .. but that's another story...

Magic Dirt - Live At the Wireless! Adalita smiling at the crowd! I had such a wonderful time. It was so intimate and cool. I got my albums signed and got heaps of photos with the band ( I'll post them when i get em developed). Just sharing my DIRT moments with y'all! xxxx Sounds great Leah! ;D Were the Magic Dirt people nice and friendly? I always worry if I meet someone from a band I like that they might be horrible to me and shatter all my illusions! Thankfully it hasn't happened so far for the few musicians I did meet in person! I don't know Magic Dirt - what do they sound like? They have a seriously foxy frontwoman by the looks of it so I may have to check them out! Hey, it's all about the music!

[/IMG] I realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly want to but i'm already going to Cat Power the next day, it's all too expensive, the trains etc And i mean it's during the week, i'll have class at uni etc HAVE FUN THO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ooooh I forgot (or actually didn't even really notice) that Metric is the exact day before Cat Power! Hmmm... is there any way you can change your train to come to London the day before? I don't know what your uni schedule will be (and obviously you don't want to be skipping lectures this early ) but maybe you can stay over or something so you don't have to pay for two trains? It's good. I don't think it's for everyone but if you liked Kid A it's about closest to that Radiohead sound. I'm still kind of getting to know all the tracks but so far I really like Black Swan and Harrowdown Hill for starters. While some of the lyrical content is pretty dark, I find the music and Thom's voice quite soothing. One of those albums to lie back and soak in.

Royal Treatment Plant, Scanners and Howling Bells are all on constant rotation at the moment! ... well not that mp3s rotate usually but y'know... Is anyone else actually too lazy to put CDs in their CD player/PC and just queues everything up on media player? ;D

Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself (album) at the moment.
Been having a bit of a mellow one prior to this. I was listening to Laura Veirs, Cat Power and Jose Gonzalez all night.
